Staying at VWL - seven month window

I love the VWL, but I own elsewhere (OKW). My question is how easy is it to book a 2bd unit at the seven month window for off season - Sept., Oct., Nov. (other than Thanksgiving). Is it realistic to be able to get a ressie? Please respond if you've booked and stayed at those times (2bd). Thank you in advance.

I have booked the VWL (never stayed though. They were rentals) for that time of year within the 7 month window. I don't think you'll have a problem.

i doubt you will have a problem. we booked it at the 7th month window for dec with no problem. we are also going spet-oct this year at VWL

We booked a trip for last May at 6 weeks notice. Every DVC had 1 bed units available for the 13 nights we wanted except BCV. We took VWL and were thrilled as we thought we would never get in there. I know you did not ask about May but I thought it was still evidence that you can get a room at VWL at even less than 7 months sometimes.

Next year we hope for a 2 bed lock off at BCV in MAy. Fingers crossed!!!!

I tried for a 2brm at VWL for this past Dec (1st week) at the 7 month mark and couldn't get it!! We went on the waitlist and it never came through.

I was so bummed, b/c we had family staying at the campgrounds. We really want to try there, so I'll be calling again this year at the 7 month mark.

One year in June we booked a 1-br for the week before Thanksgiving with no problem. Then the next year we booked a 2-br for Halloween week and I'm sure that it was less than 7 months out. I don't think you'll have a problem, unless you're trying for Columbus day week or Thanksgiving week.

We had no problem getting a 2br for VWL at 7 month window for the week of Halloween. Good luck and enjoy... we loved VWL!

We've stayed at VWL several times, twice in Oct. during the Funai Golf Classic and booked at 7 months. No problem. We stayed in one bedrooms.

I don't think you'll have any problems.

We've booked for January at 4 months out (2br dedicated) and for May at 6 months out (2br dedicated).

Great info. I've been deciding on 120 point add-on for VWL or Saratoga (via Disney promo). We travel to WDW during off season, we LOVE VWL (all DVC resorts are great) but was worried about getting into VWL during SEP, OCT, NOV within the 7 months (if buying SSR) verses buying into VWL.

Well, with all of the said, and with your input, I decided to buy SSR for 120 points and hope booking into VWL in off season will not be a problem.
