I was wondering if you stay at two different resorts on DISNEY property will they transfer your luggage for you from one to the other, or do you have to do that yourself? For example, we are staying at POP CENTURY for one night and then going to BWV for the next 5 nights.....Has anyone done this before?

Yes they will transfer for you. You have to call Bell Services, and they will pick it up. It takes a few hours to move over to the other resort, so you might consider the "carryon" luggage guidelines (i.e. don't pack medicine you'll need, etc.)

You have to be in your room when they pick it up, and they won't deliver it at the new resort until you are in your room.

Thanks....til you are in your room or till you check in your room....do they hold it for you until you get to your room for the day, say you check in early and go to the parks......

What a great thread. We are splitting our 8 day stay in June between OKW & BWV's. It will be our first time as DVC members & we can't wait!

CSmommy, it is also our first time and also splitting between OKW, Pop and BWV! How funny is that? Enjoy and welcome home!

Same here, this is our first trip as DVC member and also splitting between BWV, POP and VWL in June.

We used the baggage tranfer twice our last trip. two nights at BWV, next three at OKW and last two back at BWV. We had no problems. Left bags with bell services and they did everything else. We did not have to be in room for them to transfer, as long as you are registered, no problem. Called bell services when checked in to new resort and bags were brought over. Hope this helps you out

I am so excited for all of us! We will be there the last week of June.:woohoo:

When you say as long as you are registered can this be done over the phone, or do we all need to check in at the desk together?

You have your reservation for your next resort, that is all you need. Bell services will ask what resort to transfer to and they do the rest. It takes I think till after 4 PM to do the transfer, but it is all done without you doing anything. Enjoy your day and check in like you would normally do and ask for your bags and they will bring them. If you check in before the bags are there, no problem, just call after 4 and they should do the same

Agree 100% with the carry on luggage comment... Actually we pack extra shorts and shirts and a bathing suit and throw them in our rental car.

Actually you don't need to be in your room at all. Call Bell Services and they will come right up or they will instruct you that they are busy and you can leave your bags. This is actually what happened to me 3 of the 4 last times I have done this.:cool1:

It is a GREAT service! I can't believ more people don't take advantage of this and have somee resort variety during their stays at WDW. IMHO of course! ;)
