Resort hopping is a huge benefit of being a WDW resort guest. Plan it out right and you don't have to drive.
Do you have bikes? If so and you can bring them too...that's free transporatation around the Fort, plus you can ride them over to the Wilderness Lodge (our resort neighbor). You can rent them also- maybe that would save you a golf cart rental day.
From the Fort or the Wilderness Lodge you can take the resort boat over to the Contemporary and from their hop on the monorail and off the monorial to see all the monorial resorts. You are staying at a MK resort, so these resorts are the easiest to get to.
The others if you don't want to drive can be a bit more challenging due to the time it takes, but still do able.
Want to go over to the Epcot resorts, but don't want to drive? Hope on Fort Wilderness's Downtown Disney bus (pick up is at the front of the resort, internal buses will pick up up in front of your loop and drop you off there). From Downtown Disney you can go to any Epcot resort you choose and then you can walk or take a boat around those resorts. You will need to either return to Downtown Disney to come back on your bus or hop on the Epcot resort's bus to the Magic Kingdom theme park and take the Fort Wildreness boat back to the Fort Wilderness resort. Oh I guess you can get to the Epcot Resorts that way too.
Many ways to get around Disney without a car and or a theme park ticket!
Two weeks til our Fort Stay. Bringing bikes and our
scooter.
