staying at Saratoga Springs for 1st time

Hello folks,

This is my family's 1st WDW trip on our DVC, we've done DLR tips before

we're staying at Saratoga Springs. I was wondering is there any particular room or view that I should put in a request for?


I've looked at the resort on Google earth.

i'd like to have us staying near the main pool area, or facing a WDW park,
and how is bus transportation? is there a building I should be staying near as well.

We love SRS. We have been 4times so far with our 5year old.

We always pick Congress Park b/c we like to walk to Downtown Disney.

There is no "parks" near SRS so you cant be overlooking one.

I honestly dont think anywhere on property is FAR to walk..and this coming from having a now 5 year old with me.

If Bus is an Issue ask for
Grandstand as for most routes it's First on and 1st Off. This also has a theamed area pool and is a short walk from the Main pool and Carriage
House.
Springs is right across from the Main Pool area but is the Last Bus stop.

Congress park has it all middle Bus stop , Views of DTD, easy walk to main area and DTD as well.

Have a Nice stay we just returned from a BWV and AKV split stay but still went Home to SSR to walk around on our DTD day.

We stay at SSR quite often and love it. Typically tell MS we prefer Grandstand as our first option and then Springs as the second option. Reason being...Grandstand has a great neighborhood pool and the best bus service (1st on....1st off) and the Springs area is great for being close to the main pool.

In staying there as often as we do I think the suggestions you have received already are very true. The busiest bus stop (during the times we have been there) appears to be Congress Park. A lot of people like to stay there because it is so beautiful and a great walk to DTD.

The whole resort is a great walking area and hey gott work on some of those extra calories while on vacation/////

We love the Congress Park section w/views of DTD. The walk to dtd is very quick and convenient. We also don't mind the walk to the main pool. The resort is very peaceful and we have also seen some wildlife (pelicans, rabbits, hawk). The main pool also has a lot of fun features, and is compact enough to supervise small children w/o swivel-heading (like at BC!!!). Never had a problem w/buses either.

Just got back from SSR yesterday & stayed at the Springs. Literally took us seconds, not minutes to get to the pool. As for being the last bus stop - it was never an issue. We always got seats & never waited too long.

SSR is wonderful! Stay anywhere. It's all good. You would probably like the
Springs and Grandstand for pool and proximity to the main area. I personally
love Congress Park for the views of DTD and the walkway. I love to walk so
being further from the main area is ok with me. Have a blast!
