We are staying 5 nights at Royal Pacific in June. We have never been to Universal before, but thought we would give it a try. Is there enough to see and do for 5/6 days at Universal or do we need to plan on going to SeaWorld or somewhere else too? We want to relax around the pool too, but don't want to be bored if the theme parks don't fill our time.

We'll be there for the same amount of time but we'll be adding a day at Sea World. We think between those 3 parks, we won't get bored at all. FOTL lets you do the parks SO leisurely that even though we had more time than ever staying on-site, we end up doing less and missing stuff because our luxurious tropical resort is just a boat ride away. :)

I'm doing 5 night/6 days in April and don't plan to do anything else. We stayed off-site the last time and spent 7 days between US/IOA and feel that we still didn't see it all. I want to be able to take time this time to enjoy the little things and not just rush from ride to ride. We plan to spend quite a bit of time at the resorts enjoying the pools (remember you can pool hop), go to the movies, see Blue Man Group and not feel that we need a vacation from our vacation.

agreed (again)

WE usually spend all our vacation at Universal resorts. 3 Weeks at RPR, we do not do the parks everyday, usually spend time at the pool and hit the parks later in the day when we go, unless DD wants to go earlt to ride the front of a few coasters, but this is only a couple of days we do this. Usually have a few days at Seaworld as well, plus Lots of shoppin for DW.
Will be spending 2 weeks at RPR and 1 at PBH this year, we do not go to Disney now, but even if we did ,think i would still stay at Universal and drive over to any Disney parks i was visiting.

The new roller coaster at Sea World should be running by June. If you are big coaster fans, it might be fun to pop over for a day.

I love US/IOA, but IMO that is too much time for just those parks. I'm not much into just hanging out by the pool all day, so I like to have other things to do. I would add Sea World to the schedule for that many days.

I am booked for 5 nights 6 full days at rph in later October this year.

now i am trying to see how much it will cost to change my return flight so i can add another night to stay longer.

i plan one day for taking pictures, no rides.
rest of the days either at the parks in the day time, hhn at night for 3 of them, pool relaxing time, city walk browsing, hrc and hrh stores for pin buying, watching late night karoake at city walk, etc.

i never have enough time at universal.

mac...so, where are these 'pictures' you take? :confused3 hhmmmm....

We usually spend 5 nights there each year too. We have plenty to do and are never bored :goodvibes This includes pool time and such too.

Hey Robert....I read your post. Which costs you more? Your vacation or wife's shopping excursions? j/k ;)

and my xxxxx account is expiring in a couple of days.
:rolleyes1

We normally go up for a 2-3 day weekends all the time and it always seems like a rush to us. Last summer we spent 6 days at RPR but 2 full days at Disneys 4 parks. We were so worn out by all the running around and not really enjoying our vacation.

This year we are booked for 7 night, 8 days in July at RPR and looking forward to relaxing for the week. We might throw in Seaworld but just don't know yet. We will get up when we want, pool hop more, shop, just soak up the atmosphere this time. Normally we walk around the parks to fast to relax, but then again we are there all the time and know what we want to see and ride. Just going to slow down and have a real vacation this time.:thumbsup2

Hi Barb,
think the Vacation just about wins for the cost, but not by much:sad2:
