Since they're starting work on the sky gondolas, I'm wondering if I should reconsider staying at POP in Oct 2018, especially since one of my incentives for staying there was the lakeview. Apparently the station at Pop is being planned right on the Hourglass Lake bridge, not the north parking lot as I previously thought I was hoping to be able to walk across and visit AoA but if the station is gonna be built on the bridge that might not happen.

Can someone more up to date on the project clue me in? I think I might just switch over to ASSp instead if this will be an interference.

I'd also like to know when Pop will be impacted by this.

Nobody knows for sure when it will start or how Pop will be affected. My guess is the only possibility being the bridge possibly closing. The station is going to be on the AoA side.

The walls have gone up for the station outside the International Gateway so it might be starting soon.

Yeah, I just saw those pictures of the walls up. I'm hoping Generation Gap bridge isn't going to be closed next month when I'm at Pop.

I thought I heard that the station was going to be in the middle of the lake - an offshoot of the bridge? I would think, If anything, they will close off half of the bridge (the long way)...but leave it open to foot traffic on the side where the gondola station won't be..

I don't mind the construction, so if they leave a part of the bridge open for foot traffic, that would be awesome! :)

We are staying there for August 2018. I've never stayed there before, but was also hoping for a lake view and to be able to walk across the bridge to AOA. I hope the construction doesn't have a negative impact on this.
