Staying at Orange Lake

We are staying in a three bedroom at Orange Lake CC in July 2006. We will be traveling with a six year old and two three year olds. For anyone who has stayed there or owns there, is there a specific place in the complex that you would request to stay? I have read other places that the east village is nicer, which we would prefer.

I am partial to the East Village and by 2006 you will be able to enjoy River Island. The North Village with the zero depth entry pool and small slide is nice as well. If you request do know that they can't guarantee you any section.

There ae several options but it depends on how much time you wish to spend at the resort. I own in both the North Village and the East Village. Currently the recreation at the East Village is limited for youngsters with a pool near one of the end units. River Island is being built in the East Village but it is at least 1/2 mile from most of the current units (roughly 1 mile from my unit in the East Village). OLCC is building units directly in the River Island recreation center area so they may be available during this time. But for the age of your children, they will love the pool area of North Village as well. OLCC notes that River Island will be the focus of the rest of its development for the rest of this decade. Both villages are relatively new with North Village coming online somewhere around 1999/2000 and the East Village around 2002.

I would go with the North Village with a request near Splash Lagoon or the East Villlge with a request for near River Island. I would also assume that owners who request to be near River Island would get their requests made before non-owners and since it is new, many owners may wish to get located near there. I believe that 3-bedroom units are only available in the North and East Village. They aren't available in the West Villages but I'm not sure if they are avaiable in the Tennis Villas.

3br units are available in all 3 villages within my home resort. The tennis villas (West Village) were constructed in 1998, followed by the North Village in 2000, and the East Village in 2002. You will be happy with your 3br unit, no matter what village it's in.
