hi all:)

I have booked for mon 20th may to 24th may at dlp, but i travel to dlp on the 19th via eurostar so i need digs for the sunday night, i have found a cheap hotel in torcy at kyriad, Anyone been here and whats reviews like?
Also as its the sunday we will arrive at 2pm so i was thinking of something to do on our free day and thought val d'europe also need to stock up for dlp on crisps biscuits drinks etc, what time does val d'europe open till on the sunday and do trains run frequently to and from torcy-dlp-val?
thanks

Val d'Europe (The shopping center which includes Auchan Supermarket) is closed all day Sunday. You have the food court which is open and La Vallée Village which is the "designer" shops.

Besides the restaurants at Bay1 more or less opposite your hotel at Torcy there won't be anything open there either as the Bay2 shopping center which has a Carrefour hypermarket is closed Sunday.

Torcy is 2 stops from Val d'Europe and 3 from DLP, the trains run every 15 minutes and costs 2,40€ from Torcy to VdE and 3.20€ from Torcy to DLP

:)

dont know how much kyriad torcy is but there are cheap hotels in val deurope ie ibis so you would be able to shop and eat ect x

ok what would you guys recommend to do on sunday? Is not even the sealife centre at val d'europe not open?
thanks

Kyriad is £60 for the night and the ones at val d'europe are around £110 plus was thinking of the explorers which is £135

Sea Life is open but it's not going to take you more than an hour to do.

You could always go into Paris from Torcy and spend a day wandering about, do a boat ride on the Seine, a picnic near the Eiffel Tour or in the Luxembourg Gardens (very popular park with local children as there is lots to do), climb the towers of Notre Dame for great views with the gargoyles, take a Foxity bus tour etc etc :)

ok thanks, could i ask if there are any supermarkets open sunday close to torcy or val d'europe also if not do you know when the one at val d'europe opens on the monday morning, thinking of going before we go to the park?
thanks for your info carrie

Not when you arrive, there are mini mart (ie very expensive/not great choice) type things but they close at 13.00.

Auchan opens at 8.30 and closes at 22.00 everyday except Sundays :)

Travel republic has the Sejours Et Affaires Serris Apartments at Val d'europe for £56 for 4 adults for your date. Think the reviews are pretty good for it, never been to Val d'Europe myself so not sure how close to the station is it.

Just a thought but from there you could spend the free time at Disney Village, having a look around the disney hotels, cinema possibly if there's an English film showing or the Nex games arcade and then stock up at the Auchan market before moving to your dlp hotel on Monday morning. :)

yeah that sounds good to look around village, hotels etc and was thinking of going to the supermarket for 8.30 from the info from carrie (thanks once again).
The problem i have on booking a night is that there are 5 of us 2 adults and 3 children but one is only 2 1/2 its a shame they add the young one on (as eurostar dont charge for under 3s) because i could book at the circus, explorers etc for around £90 per night but wont cater for 5 people at those.
thanks for all your help and info guys.

That's awful charging you for the little one, even Disney let under 3's go free and share the standard room, have you tried DLP to see how much they would charge for room only, guess it would be a lot more than £60 ?

PSA - In France even babies count as 1 person in hotel rooms. This is due to the fire code regulations and hotels have to respect it however daft it might appear.

If you book a room for 4 and you turn up as 5 you risk to be without any room if they don't have a 2nd one that you can rent. :goodvibes

We stayed at the torcy kiriad and got a great family room for 4 and we are a family of 5. Wee man was in travel crib. I asked at desk as I checked in and girl said it was no problem. Suppose it would depend where your 2.5 year old would sleep....
