Staying at Knott's, visiting Disneyland

We're going to be visiting Disneyland for five days in August 2015. There was a good deal for staying at Knott's Hotel, so we're going to be staying there and taking their shuttle to Disneyland every morning. I'm wondering if others have done this, and if so, if they could share their experience? Thanks!
