Hi
My family and I are staying at Sarasota springs resort since we are DVC members but plan on going to Universal/Islands and take advantage of the 7-day pass for $90.00.
Is there any public transportation from Disney to Universal? Also is there a drop off section at Universal or Islands as my kids are older and can go to the parks unsupervised
Thanks:eek:

Don't think there is but you could always use services like mears and think if I am not wrong they charge like 27.00 a person round trip and pretty sure there are others also but don't know the company names.

There is public transport but it takes quite a while. Someone said 2 hours but I haven't tried it. There is a drop off area, it is where the hotel and city buses drop off. Easy walk from there.

another DVCer drawn to the darkside;) :rotfl:

jmho, not sure how you feel about a split stay (even 1 night onsite @ Lowes gives you 2 days FOTL access - another "best kept secret":goodvibes ); rates are lower than point equivalents for the weekends.:thumbsup2

when you factor in multiple days transport costs, that might tip the scales for you too.

regardless, think you'd be better off renting a car either for the week or just the days you're interested in visiting (check out mousesavers for rental car discount codes). via some diligent checking, not difficult to get a compact rental in the $100 range for a week.

good luck

I've heard Mears or taxi services are your best bet. Wish there were easier ways.

In California, Universal Studios Hollywood has pick-up/drop-off services to most of the Anaheim hotels. I doubt Disney World would allow that though.
