Staying at CR in January, quick question

DH and I are staying at CR for marathon weekend (never stayed onsite before), we have APs and booked room only reservation a few months ago before rates came out for January.

I see that when I search online the rates are significantly higher now than when I booked. We only payed the first night so far. Will the rates for nights booked stay the same as quoted at booking, or change to the current price? Still hoping for AP discount, but don't think those come out till later this summer!

first of all to my knowledge the 2013 rates are not out yet. mousesavers does not have them yet. neither does WDWinfo.

so not sure where you are getting 2013 rates. they generally don't even release the new rates until August.

if they are higher you will pay more. but generally when they don't have a rate you get charged the highest rate possible at the time. your rate should be a little lower or the same.

2013 rates are out now for January, though I think not online yet. You can call the regular WDW reservations number to book or check rates. (We already have a reservation for January at BLT, and paid the deposit. It shows up under my vacations when I log into the Disney site.) These will also be actual rates, not highest rack or whatnot like in years past. You should ask about the marathon rate. There is a discount available (though a better discount may come out down the line, and then you could call to try to switch). Google for the discount - I think it is on the marathon web site. We booked our BLT room with a AAA discount, which was around 15%, and were previously booked at the Poly with the same approximate discount.

Quick question...I booked a CR vacation package for February (room, DXDP, PH, etc.) - is my balance going to go up/down -- depending of course if prices increase/decrease??

2013 rates are out and online They came out July 11th online but were previously available if you called for room only

If you were able to book a pkg for Feb then it includes 2013 rates and will stay the same unless down the road you are eligible for a discount. If you booked a room only prior to the 2013 rates you were probably charged the highest 2012 rate and it's probably adjusted to the current rate. Depending on that change will depend on if your rate went up or down. Hope that makes sense
