Leaving in four days to start our 2-week vacation at Bonnet Creek. I've read on this site that Bonnet Creek isn't taking room requests any more.

I'd like to know which building is close to where you get the shuttles. We can't rent a car since no one drives and we have to rely on the shuttles. Since my mother who is 80 and my aunt who is 75 will be with us, I am trying to find out which building will be close to the shuttles and at the same time a nice pool for the kids.

Even though BC isn't taking room requests any more, has anyone still tried to make a request at check-in and have been lucky enough to get their request?

Building 1 has a stop close to it, but it doesn't have a pool. You have to walk to the pool at the main building. It's a short walk.

The 2 shuttle stops are 1. between Tower 1 and the Main Building, and 2 In front of Tower 6. (It's a quick walk across the parking lot from Tower 5's entrance as well).

If you are concerned about the walk to a shuttle stop because of mobility issues, I would definitely recommend mentioning that concern when you check in and ask at the front desk if they can place you as close to a shuttle stop as possible. Assuming you aren't set on a specific view, I'm thinking you will probably have better luck with the front desk request if you let them know it's because of the older family member's mobility instead of just a general "we want this tower".

As for pools..... Tower 1 doesn't really have it's own pool, so you either have to walk next door to the blue-slide/splash area pool between 2 and 3, or the big pool/splash area/lazy river pool at the main building.

Tower 6 has the Pirate Ship/Pirate Slide pool. tower 5 has the Fort/Lazy River pool.
