Staying at BLT with little ones and fireworks?

I am planning our vacation for next year and since we will be renting DVC we need to decide soon.
Our kids will be 6 and 3, so we wanted a MK resort. I was originally planning on a 1 bedroom villa at BLT.
A full kitchen and separate sleeping area from the kids is a must for us.
I thought it will be great to be able to walk to MK and monorail to Epcot.
It will make taking midday breaks/naps much easier.
I know that staying late in the parks every day will not be a good idea.
Being that close to MK will mean hearing the fireworks every night and may make an early bedtime not possible. I was thinking that maybe WL will be a good idea, but transportation to the parks makes me doubt.
Anyone that has stayed at BLT with little ones can share their experiences?

We've stayed at BLT a few different times with little ones, and that's def. the way to go. Not having to deal with unloading/breaking down strollers to/from MK & Epcot (as long as monorail is working) is more than worth it. Each time we've stayed at BLT, we've had a MK view and I can't recall ever having an issue with fireworks...I will say most times we're at the park still while fireworks are going off, but each trip there are at least 3 nights that we're back at resort before fireworks and I don't remember it ever being an issue. I wouldn't have the patio doors open during that time, but I think you'll be fine.

We brought our sound machine with us when we took DS at almost 3 (he was a month shy). I remember hearing the fireworks and thinking he might wake up but he was so exhausted from the parks and with the sound machine he didn't budge. It was the most amazing thing ever to be so close to MK and have the monorail right there for Epcot. We usually had him in bed by 8 and the fireworks went off at 9. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

If you stay at WL you will hear the Electric Water Pageant, which is quite loud. Stick with BLT!

Stick with BLT, the convenience of being able to walk or monorail to MK and monorail to Epcot is nice when you are dealing with stroller. We are planning a trip with family that have 6 year old twins and we specifically picked BLT for the convenient location.

We have stayed many times at BLT and the fireworks were not an issue. We did play Disney music for her to sleep to so that helped drown out any noises too. Sound machine is a good idea too or you could just play relaxing sounds from an Iphone.

Have a great trip!

We've stayed at BLT and the Contemporary - while the fireworks are fairly loud, I've found the Electrical Water Pageant to be much louder and to get stuck in my head ALLL night. Neither ones woke our kids (at various times, infants, 2 and 4 yo); they'd usually been sleeping for at least an hour or two by the time they started up. (And we had no noise machines; just make sure all patio doors are closed)

Stay at BLT! The kids will either still be up, or be zonked (I was so nervous about my 4 and 1 year olds sleeping but they were so tired from everything neither the fireworks or water pageant were an issue). That first morning you just load up the strollers and walk over to MK will be priceless, I guarantee it.

We stayed at BLT last October when my son was 3 and daughter was 20 months. We loved it so much that we're staying there twice this year. We didn't mind the fireworks at all. One night they stayed up to watch, and they slept through them the rest of the time. We did bring our white noise machine so that probably helped.

My kids were just about the same age when we visited in Oct. Never stayed at WL but we own @ BLT and we LOVE LOVE LOVE it! We love being on the monorail. Esp since O'hana is a must for us.

The noise of the fireworks was never a problem for us. You can hear it but it was never loud enough to stop our very bad sleepers from falling asleep. Don't forget they will be exhausted from the parks. We've had MK view and lake view and didn't notice too much difference if you were inside with the balcony doors closed.

We stayed in a one bedroom at BLT last time we were there and my boys were 4 and 7. We had a first floor room which I didn't like at first, but we could let them out the sliding door to "Jedi train" on the grass which ended up being great. We didn't have any trouble with the fireworks being too loud and keeping them up, but then again, mine usually sleep through loud thunderstorms. We absolutely loved being able to walk to MK. It was faster that way then taking the Monorail.

We stayed at BLT and had a room with a view of the fireworks. It was great to watch without the crowds. As far as it being too loud...once my 'I'm not sleepy' children hit the beds they were OUT!!! I think we could have had the fireworks in our room and they would have slept through them!! The ability to walk to MK and hop on the monorail was awesome!! I just wish I had done it when my kids were VERY small!!!

You'll hear that, too, at BLT. Plus if you have any little ones that need an afternoon nap, the pool parties at BLT are really loud as well.
