we are planing on renting points for a stay at BCV. We really want to stay here for SAB and I think our kids (who will be almost 6 and 4) will love it. However I'm wondering that if my son (who is water slide mad) is still unable to swim and cannot go down the slide at SAB, wether we would be able to go over to the boardwalk to use their pool once or twice.

I know that pool hopping is a perk for DVC members not for renters, but I'm sure that I've read somewhere that you can ask to use the pool at BWV in these circumstances??

anyone any ideas???

Thanks

Sorry, pool hopping is a DVC member perk and renters are not entitled to DVC member perksunless they are staying with the member as a guest of the member.

Why not just rent the points @ the BW? or plan on BCV & visit a WP...good luck.

The BW doesn't appeal to me somehow, i just feel the BCV are more family friendly. It was actually on allearsnet that i read that because no life jackets are allowed on the slide at SAB you can request to use the one at BW, obviously this is not the case. He'll just have to learn to swim ;)

There are two kiddie slides at SAB that dump into much shallower water.

This would be my recommendation too. My kids really liked the smaller slides (located in the Pirate Ship) when they were non-swimmers.

Sorry, but you can't go pool hopping. However, last May we stayed at BCV with our 4 (almost 5) year old. He has one of the bathing suits with built in flotation. It works great! I highly recommend something like this for your kids if they are not strong swimmers; it will give you a lot of peace of mind. He ended up going down the big slide lots of times and loved it. Now that it's almost spring, it should be easy to get ahold of these suits. I've seem them at BRU and BJ's Club and in catalogs as well. The one we have also gives UV protection. HTH! :sunny:

I take it they can go down the main slide at SAB with these on then. DS is absolutely fine at swimming away if he has some sort of bouyancy aid such as life jacket or water wings, these costumes sound ideal, and I know he is going to want to ride the slide (he wanted to do howamungacowabunga last year age 3!!!!!!)
