Staying at ASMO and ? about refrigerator

I know that the values offer the rental of a refrig for your stay. But is it true that if you need the fridge for storage of medical supplies (such as insulin) that they waive the rental fee? How do you go about this? This trip I will need to bring with me medication that must be refrigerated, do I have to send them a letter from my physician? I think the rental is like $10 a day and we are going to be there 8 days, that would save me at least $80 if I can get the fee waived.

My understanding is that they have special refrigerator units for medication, and they are NOT the same as the rental fridges...they are much smaller. You only need to call and ask about reserving one, and they are offered to you at no charge.

On our last two trips I asked for refrigerator to store insulin and didn't have any problems. First time I booked over the phone so I asked immediately. Second time I booked online and then later call them and asked them for refrigerator. I think that refrigerator is same size as the one that you renting for $10 per day.

We have a fridge reserved for our stay at ASMo and I called today to make a payment and asked about the fridge for meds. My daughter's enbrel has to be in the fridge. I asked if it was a tiny fridge that would fit only meds and she said no. It is the same one you pay $10 a day for. HTH

Hey I'm on Enbrel as well! Thanks for the info, it does help! I'll have to call them (Disney) and have the refrig added on to the room request. Last time we went it was between injections so I didn't need to bring it, but this time I end up needing to do it twice so I'll have to bring it with. Kind of a pain, I keep worrying that I'll forget my sharps container.

I had one in my room at All Stars last year that was NOT the same size as a normal fridge.... It was the size of a shoebox...(I didn't ask for it, it was apparently left from the last guest)
