Hello: We usually stay at Port Orleans Riverside, but because of the low Canadian dollar are looking at staying outside disney. Looking at Bonnett Creek by Wyndham.

Will we still be able to go over to Port Orleans Riverside and eat dinner at the restaurants on that resort, or are they only for guests staying on disney property.

Deb.

Never been to that property but I would think the only issue would be parking. Can you get into that parking lot without a pass?

Yes, you can eat at the resorts. If you have an ADR, you just tell the guard at the gate and you can park free for 3 hours. You can valet for longer.

yes you can park at any resort when eating there even at counter services place, they will only ask for ID at the parking entrance and you can state why are you there

Park for Free at Disney Springs Parking House Orange OR Lime

Then use Free Bus Transport to Hotels .... not forgetting to use Monorail & Ferry Boats & Watching Fireworks

No need to park at Disney Springs! As previously posted you can dine at ANY resort restaurant and park for free if you have an advanced dining reservation (ADR). My husband and I have done this many times during our trips when staying off-site! Have fun!

You can do pretty much anything at the resorts unless use their pools. You can attend movie nights at the resorts, watch fireworks from a beach. You can join in the Chip n Dale campfire at the campground, you can participate in some of the activities at the resorts like the animation drawing classes at AOA or the animal watching etc. at AKL. Walk around the boardwalk, rent bikes, etc.

Thats great, we still love to visit our fav resort and have a meal there.

Thanks everyone.

The near-park resorts may restrict parking at times, but I like to visit POFQ or Art of Animation for lunch and have never had an issue at those resorts.

Be sure to try the new restaurants at Disney Springs, too.

I agree with everyone else. We almost always stay offsite and always visit several of the resorts while we're there. We have never had any problem parking whether we were coming for a meal, a drink, or just to wander.

Just a quick heads up regarding extra parking/car security at the MK resorts. This was originally on the theme parks board but got moved to the Disney resorts board: https://www.disboards.com/threads/v...the-resorts-closest-to-magic-kingdom.3608722/
I would not have seen it if it wasn't on the theme parks board first, as I rarely go to the Disney resorts board.

We always visit the resorts on our off-days, so I'm wondering how if this will impact our next trip. Just be prepared that if you try to visit the MK resorts for counter service, bars or shopping you may be turned away and asked to park at the TTC and monorail/walk over.

You can do this, but almost no one will tell you it is a great idea. It eats up a lot of time. Much quicker to drive over, or taxi if you are not in the mood to drive.

It doesn't surprise me, we know to many people do park at the resorts to avoid the parking fee, and Disney is doing anything to prevent it, and let's be real is not like any counter service will have their sales going down because of this new No Parking unless you're a guest policy, people with ADR at table service will be allowed to park they have the list and the magic band readers to verify that, I wonder if the will allow the honest ones who legitimately do just want to visit a resort like Animal Kingdom? Probably is just at the MK area resorts that they will be extra careful and send people to park a TTC

Hopefully at the Epcot resorts as well. Too many Boardwalk and BC guests have complained about not being able to find parking at their resort after dinner until after the fireworks.

I think this is for resorts that have easy access to a park...too much abuse of free parking caused this. Sad, now I'll have to figure out a way to get to my fave cs places at the Poly and contemperary

at least both are monorail Resorts, after parking at TTC is easy to get there, imagine someone who might want to eat at Beaches and Cream
