Has anyone ever stayed in the Staybridge Suites on International Drive in Orlando? What did you think? How far is the drive to DisneyWorld and do they offer any king of transportation to Disney?

We stayed there in April, 2005 but didn't drive to WDW since we were attending a convention. Our one-bedroom suite was small but clean and comfortable and we could see the "ball" at Epcot from our windows. The breakfast buffet was ample and had many choices and we used the free laundry. The pool was small though and always busy when we looked. We would definitely stay there again!

I didn't notice if they had transportation to WDW or not!

I stayed at the one on IDrive a few years ago when it was a Wyndham Suites. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite that was huge and really inexpensive. I think it was $139 a night. There was a living room, small kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, etc. 3 tvs, a vcr. movies to borrow in the lobby and a little mini-mart in the lobby too. The pool was fine and the breakfast buffet was ok, not great (cereal, little muffins, toast, coffee, juice, etc) hot foods cost extra. It is a nice central location, near a lot of malls, restaurants, Sea World and Universal. They sell Disney tickets but didn't have a shuttle back then. It was about a 20 minute drive right down I-4 depending on traffic.

We didn't stay at the Staybridge Suites on I-Drive, but the FREE shuttle bus that we took DAILY to the Disney parks went by there after going by the Sheraton Safari and the Doubletree, which are all around that neighborhood. We stayed at the Marriott Lake Buena Vista on Palm Parkway.

The shuttle comes by 4 to 5 times in the morning and also picks you up at 3 to 4 different pickup times right up to and after closing at each Disney Park.

The Staybridge desk should have a schedule for you when you get there. Give them a call, they might be able to email it to you.

Have fun, we sure did. :)
