Does anyone have any experience with this hotel? We are doing our first 4 nights onsite, but then moving to an offsite hotel and I was wondering how the shuttle service between this hotel and WDWparks is? Are we better off with a rental car? Thanks!

I just did a review of this place if you can find my post, I'm not sure how to post the link:goodvibes but we didn't use the shuttle.

My sister and her family and my family visited this past January. They stayed at the Staybridge, we stayed at Sheraton Vistana Villages. They came to see our "condo" and we went to see their suite. They were in awe of our condo, I didn't think much of theirs. For the few extra dollars I would pay to stay at the Sheraton in a heartbeat. Their hotel was tired in comparison to ours. We had amazing pools to swim in, service was fabulous, and although we didn't get the "free" continental breakfast which she said wasn't very good anyway - we did have 5 full sized appliances in the condo so our fridge was stocked with groceries to make breakfast. the one big thing is Sheraton was at the new end and only 20 mins from Disney. theirs further away. their hotel was closer to the nightlife and shopping (target and the big discount mall). We were closer to the Vineyard shopping center.

hotwire has a fantastic rate $13 for a rental car ... the convenience of having the car to come and go as I please is worth the expense -plus parking at the parks ($11 -13)

buckbart, I think you are thinking of the Staybridge Suites on international drive, the op is talking about the Staybridge Suites in Lake buena vista which is at the most 5 minutes from Disney, the one on international drive is 20 minutes away. We just stayed at the lake buena vista one and it may be an older hotel but it was clean, roomy and the breakfast was a full buffet, eggs, meat, waffles, oatmeal, cereals, yogurt, fruit, muffins, toast, juices, milk, coffee, tea, couldn't ask for anything more. It is 2 lights away from downtown Disney.:goodvibes

This is our offsite hotel of choice. Just today booked our 4th stay there for a last minute December trip. We have never had a problem there. Great service, clean rooms, awesome breakfast at a great rate. I would though suggest a car. Just makes everything easier.

We're booked at Staybridge Suite LBV for our January trip. I've read a lot of very positive reviews.

We stayed at Vistana Villages last year, so hopefully we won't be too disappointed. We're staying on points which makes it an easy decision. It's hard to argue with free!

Great stay. It was a minute or two from DTD. There is a Winn Dixie across a side street and an ABC liquor. The breakfast was awesome. The staff was very friendly. The kids liked the pool. The room had a suite with a king, ensuite, and closet. The second room had two full or queen beds, ensuite, and double closet. In between was a full kitchen and living area. We loved it and will definitely go back. Rent a car because it was so convenient to come and go when WE wanted...and we went to shop one day.

We stayed at Staybridge LBV in May. We had the two bedroom/ 2 bath suite and it was perfect for us. We had a rental car and it was very close to Downtown Disney and just a short ride to all the parks.

My DD wanted to sleep in one day so she took the hotel's shuttle bus to Epcot to meet us around lunch time. She said the bus was overcrowded and stopped at other hotels. She also complained that the bus stop let them out quite a distance from the Epcot entrance. The morning bus would not get you to any park before or even right at rope drop, so if arriving early is part of your plan, a car is a must.

I would say a car is a must anyway, if you want to eat anywhere outside the parks.
