Last month we purchased the Florida Resident tickets special. It was buy 1park/1day get the 2nd park/2nd day free for $67.00. After speaking with DH and budgeting this trip (we are taking my in-laws with us) we decided that this trip was going to be more of a relaxing trip instead of hit a park everyday trip. We are going June 16-23 and have the 2 days at UO planned plus one day at MK. We';re doing one day at MK for the kids but we decided that "Disney" will be done next year without the inlaws. We are staying at Windsor Hills so won't have the express passes.
Should we upgrade to the full week. Do you think it will be needed to see most of the parks? Is spening the extra $120.00 worth it?

How many days are you going for in total?

We will be there for 8 days in total. My fear is that we will run out of things to do. My DH fear is that we will get tired of doing the same thing at the parks. We arrive Saturday early and will be visiting my grandparents in Clermont until the afternoon. Then we have that evening and the next day (Fathers Day) planned including a Fathers Day dinner at Margaritaville. We will start the parks on Monday.

This is what I have so far. I guess we can always switch the days around except for MK on Wed since this seems like the best day to that week.

IMO upgrading to the week long ticket would be a good investment. That doesn't mean your holiday has to be stressful, you can still relax. You could go to the parks for a few hours at night after the crowds die down or in the morning before the crowds arrive.

I agree....the OP paid $67 for 2 days....it's only $86 for 7 days! I'd upgrade. ---oh wait, i think those are an online only special?? phamton, can the OP do this??? :confused3

After seeing your itinerary, it doesn't look at all relaxing to me. :)

This is just me, but there is no way I could spend even one entire day from opening to closing in a park, much less three consecutive days (M-W). Even with a full day to rest scheduled for later in the week.

You are also going at a hot and busy time, so I think those long park days will be grueling.

For the small difference in price, I would upgrade to the 7-day ticket, and plan several half-days at US/IOA. You could go early and stay until lunch, then do outlets, resort hopping, resting, etc. in the afternoons. Or rest/shop some mornings and head over to US/IOA in the late afternoon and stay until closing, so you can enjoy evening (cooler) hours.

Whatever you decide, have a great time. But for the small price difference, I would spread it out.

Well I was already conviced after thinking about it but had to convince DH. After telling him we were going to have to wake up so early and stay in the park from opening to closing no matter who was tired (remember in-laws are coming also) he gave in :lmao:

I called and upgraded them yesterday morning. I'm very happy with the fact that we can come and go all wk to both the parks. We even crossed out MK and have decided to do Sea World instead so.......

15 days until our USO and Seaworld Vacation! Yippee

You wouldn't be able to upgrade to an online special at the park. You can try calling the online ticket store and see if they can change your order but that would involve cancelling the first order and then ordering the new tickets, not an upgrade.

Actually I was able to call and just upgrade. I didn't have to cancel the 1st order. They just charged me the difference. I have the same confirmation number as the 1st order and was told that when I retrieve them from the kiosk that they will be the full week tickets. It was very quick, easy and the person who helped me was very pleasant :thumbsup2

What they do is remove (return) the old tickets from your order and add the new tickets to the order. Technically it isn't an upgrade. I'm glad you were able to change your order and get the 7 day tickets. I find the online store is very helpful.

It sounds like you are off to a good start for a great vacation!
