I am going on Sept 26th for 3 days, so will be there during the first 2 days of HHN (don't plan to attend).
how bad will the lines be Thu, Friday and Sat. during the day?
staying on site is about X2 than the hotel we found. is it worth it that time of year for the express pass or are the lines not too long?

THANKS!!

jmho but I think any time of year is great for staying onsite. I like being close enough to walk to the parks and using my room key to walk right onto every ride.
We will be staying onsite mid-Sept.
You could always just do 1 nt. onsite and get 2 full day of FOTL. :thumbsup2

It won't be busy (the park closes at 6:00 on Thursday, good indicator), you won't need fotl. Late Friday and Saturday afternoon (Sat afternoon - the busiest time of your stay) will be busier due to HHN crowds arriving but for most of the day you should be fine without it. Onsite is great but if cost is an issue, I'd stay offsite and save some money since fotl isn't necessary.

We visited that weekend last year. You can definitely manage without FOTL if you visit the parks early and depart by mid afternoon. Last year, some of the regular lines were actually smaller than the express lines early in the morning. We will be returning this year for the same weekend and staying on site. We are attending the HHN. Enjoy!
