I cannot make up my mind, so I was hoping for your opinion.

My family is leaving Aug. 12 for a 10 night stay in the Disney area. For the first 4 nights we are staying at the Double Tree Suites where we plan to just relax and spend some time heading to the beaches. On Sat. Aug. 15th my parents and in-laws come into town and will be staying at the Double Tree for that night. Early Sunday morning I'll get over to the Tree House Villas (SSR) and check-in for our 5 night stay.

That gets us to Friday. Our planes leave on Saturday and I'm trying to decide what to do for that last night. I can go back to the Double Tree (which is very close to the THV) for that night for $304 (3 rooms, everyone has their own private room). Orrrr, I can get a 2 bedroom at Old Key West for $471.

I'm certainly not one to scoff at saving $167 for a room we'll barely use. However, I like the convenience of just calling up bell services and telling them to transfer all our luggage into OKW and not having ot worry about loading everything up and hauling it over to the Double Tree. I just don't know if the convenience of staying at OKW is worth the $167?

One other little tidbit, we can take advantage of Magical Express if we stay on-site because I don't have enough room to haul 6 people (my mom and step-father are driving) to the airport in the car we will be using!!

I'm just not sure what to do and maybe somebody on these boards has been in the same situation and knows what's best.

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond

I think the luggage transfer from SSR to OKW and the ME to the airport is well worth the 167.00!

Plus you will get to enjoy another WDW resort....I like to stay on WDW property until it is really time to go home.

Well, I vote for staying on-site.:goodvibes I think you will enjoy OKW and it is not far - as you probably know - from SSR and the THV. Also, the units are huge and you will have a lot of room to spread out - even use the washer/dryer if you are so inclined! ;) And we love ME; the convenience (and savings) is just terrific.
