For a first time visitor to Paris, is it better to stay off site in the city or at DLP? If at DLP, whats the best hotel to stay at? :confused3

Before I answer this, what is the size of your group? Travelling with kids (what ages)? what are your overall plans - DLP as a part of a bigger European trip? What sort of budget do you have? What amenities are important to you in a hotel? How long are you staying?

Sorry to ask all these questions, but they would aid me in giving better advice.

What are you planning to do on your holiday?

If you're mainly doing Disney and then visiting Paris for 1 day or not at all, then it's easier to stay on site.

If you're mainly visiting Paris sites and visiting Disney for 1 day or so, then it's easier to stay in Paris.

There's a very good train link from Paris to Disney (connected to the main Paris metro, takes about 35 minutes), so it's not too hard to travel between the two places.

My DF and I are studying aboard in Greece, we're spending one weekend in Paris right now, so it's just the two of us. Not a huge budget I suppose? But again, it's only for a weekend.

it's cheaper to stay offsite

why not go for somewhere in val d'europe area ?

just one stop away on the train, and most served by shuttle bus too :)

we stay offsite as i can't justify the cost of staying onsite ! we dont spend enough time in the accomodation to make it worthwhile! lol

would rather spend the money saved, on nice meals and souvenirs etc :)

Hmmmm, Well the ETAP is a good budget option, but it is a double bed with a single bunk above it. Clean, cheap and near the railway. Or the Kyriad sometimes has great deals with two double beds.

Ok, it looks like we are going to stay for a week in Paris, after our study abroad trip, on the way home. I am totally unfamiliar with Paris and DLP, so I have no idea what hotels there are or what the good hotels are to stay in. Any advice is helpful. :surfweb:
