stay at Sheraton Anaheim Hotel

Hi All,

We are planning on staying at the Sheraton anaheim ( not to be confused with the Sheraton Park, near the Candy Cane) Has anyone stayed here? We have always stayed close enough to not need a shuttle. This one looks a bit farther than stovall's and Sheraton Park. Both I felt walkable with the kids. We will use the free shuttle, but we may want to walk to DTD or the DL hotel for trader Sam's. This does not look much farther than walking from Stovalls to the monorail.

How is the pool? do they have pool drink/food service?

Any Suggestions on where to ask for a room?

We just stayed there for 6 days and thought it was fine. We really loved the spaciousness of the rooms. The pool has a phone that you can use to call room service for drinks or food. We just brought our own down from the room. The shuttle worked great. It was a little crowded in the morning and right after the fireworks but they had a second shuttle running to pick up those people that wouldn't fit on the 1st one. As for walking we didn't do that. I don't think it is far it is just the streets seemed very busy in there.

We had a pool view room that was an upgraded room. It was very large with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. The bathrooms are very small though.

All in all we had a nice stay there.

The Dobies stay here when we don't stay onsite. It is a nice, comfortable hotel. The shuttle is very convenient. The rooms are huge. The pool area is nice.

It is not at all walkable, IMHO. The shuttle runs twice an hour each way. On the downside, there are few food options. While the hotel is very nice, it is our last choice because we like being in the middle of everything onsite.
