Stay at Poly and use Spa at GF?

After sending an E-mail to my TA to change my resort stay to Poly due to room space and the neat theme I just found out they do not have a hot tub! It was suggested that I call the GF to see if Poly guests could use their hot tub and the answer was "yes for one week during our stay-free!" Has anyone used the GF spa while staying at the Poly? How long did it take to get to the GF from the Poly? Is it in walking distance or quicker to hop on the monorail? Now my family has our hearts set on the Poly and I don't want to make my TA change my ressie again. I've bugged her enough and our trip isn't till early 2006 . I want to finalize my plans and just worry about making payments. My husband has to have a hot tub. He practically lives in it during our vacations. Thank you for any info. you can give me.

Are you referring to the hot tub that's located by the courtyard pool, or the ones that are located inside the GF Healthclub/Spa? If you are referring to the spa, then it is just a few minutes walk (probably 5-6) from most areas of the Poly. There is a hot tub located in the womens lounge and one in the mens. The healthclub/spa is free of charge to guests at both the GF and Poly. Of course the treatments can be booked separately for a fee.

If you mean the hot tub by the pool, that is closer to a 10-15 minute walk from the Poly. It's open 24 hours a day.

I think there's a miscommunication.

When you said "Spa" I'm thinking the CM thought you meant the workout facilities at the GF Health Club, as opposed to the hot tub by the pool.

I've never heard that the Polynesian and GF had recipricol pool priveledges, which the hot tub would be part of. I'd call bacl to check for sure.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Thank you- I did call back. The first time I was transferred to someone from the (spa) Health Club at the GF and the CM told me that we can use the hot tub until 9PM, etc... This time I spoke with a CM at the front desk at the GF and the CM told me we could use the poolside hot tub as long as we show our room key from the Poly (if asked). Poly guests are allowed to use the GF's hot tub since the Poly doesn't have one. I was looking for an outdoor hot tub. Thanks again.

I recently booked a couples' massage for my DH and I, for next month, at the GF Spa. The CM at the Spa told me that we can use the Spa facilities at any time, since we're staying at the Polynesian. I didn't realize the GF's outdoor hot tub was open to Polynesian guests, too. I doubt we will use the outdoor hot tub, but it's nice to know it's available.
