Can someone please explain this for me? My brother is going and he wants to know if he is in the park all day, if it would be cheaper to stay and do HHN that night or else go a separate night. We are new at this! I think he wants to get the express pass for HHN.

Also, are there cabs outside USF at the end of HHN?

Oh, one more - he is debating going on a Friday night where it is open until 1am or a Thurs where it is open until midnight. Any advice? Thank you!:)

not sure about opening weekend but fridays hhn is over at 2:00am.
i always hit fridays.
saturdays also closes at 2, thursday at midnight and sunday at 1:00 am.

if a person is in the park the day of hhn, they can buy the Add On ticket, stay and scream, hhn ticket, and not have to leave the park at 5:00.

when the park closes to the general public at 5, you go to the holding area and wait for the release to start hhn.

if you are not in the park the day you have the hhn ticket, you wait outside the main gate for entrance to hhn.

it would be a better time saver for him to be in the park the same date he is planning to do hhn.
just go to the holding area when the park closes.

anyone can buy the add on/stay and scream hhn ticket, which is cheaper.
go to guest services and buy it there.
it can be bought in advance, just show your regular park ticket to get the S&S ticket price.

express pass for hhn can be bought online or in the park.

plenty of cabs available when the park closes.

no hhn tickets are for sale yet.
it will be announced this summer.

I know that it often sells out so he will want to get it in advance. Can he buy his Universal ticket for that particular day online and then add the Stay and Scream online as well? We usually buy our Universal tickets online a couple of months before we leave home.

The two days he was looking at are Fri, Oct 18, which is open until 2am, as you said, but I heard that weekends are much busier. The other choice is Thurs, Oct 24, but as you said, it is only open until midnight. Which day would you choose? He wants to see as much as he can but who knows if he can last that long!

Sorry for the questions, but we have never done HHN. This board is so helpful and I thank you for that!

he can buy his day UO ticket at the UO online store anytime.

have him write down his confirmation number on that sale.

when the hhn tickets, stay and scream, are listed for purchase, he can call and buy the S & S ticket at the discount by giving the TM the confirmation number of the previous sale.

one year i bought park tickets in feb.
in the summer, the hhn tickets were listed.

i called and received the discounted add on hhn ticket as the TM looked up my prior ticket purchase for the park.

or, he can buy the park day ticket and S&S at the same time when they come out.

don't worry about them selling out.

the only times i have seen a sell out on the express pass were the night of the event.

if he goes thursday, crowds will be less than a friday.
people that work the M-F jobs, usually wait for friday to do the event.

the thursday i have been to hhn, i have been able to hit all the houses before the park closed at midnight.
i also do fridays and it does have more crowds but not as bad as saturday nights.

i enjoy both nights but start from the holding area and get a head start on the event.

not sure if his dates are in Hell week.
if so, it's a toss up on which night is better, Th or Fr.

i leave orlando on the 17th, end of my vacation there.

hell week is a time period when local orlando area high schools have a short break.

We did the Stay and Scream the Friday before Halloween and it was a lifesaver. We had the Express passes but managed to get a few houses done before the general population got into the parks.

It's a long day so we left Universal early in the afternoon and got back just before 4. We ate a quick meal and felt refreshed and ready to go when they opened the holding areas.
