Haven't done Mission Space so no clue, but is there a stationary option so I can still go at 5 months pregnant? Not sure what the ride is like. Any thoughts?

This is not a ride for anyone pregnant in my opinion. Both options I would think would be dangerous for you. Congrats though!:cutie:

Mission space has a SLOW version but even this is a intense experiance. Most rides at disney with any heart warning should also not be ridden on by anyone in their 2nd trimester.

There is a mission command area. Which is looks fun. So if there are others in the party that want to go on you can play there. Understand from start to finish mission space takes awhile. (last time took me 40 mins with only 5 min wait in the que)

I rode the mild version last year when I went, I was 3 months pregnant at the time. I did ok, but I really wouldn't recommend it for anyone who is pregnant, especially 5 months along.
I stayed off alot of the rides while my family rode, but I would take their tickets and go to another ride and get them fast passes while they were riding.

You should not ride M:S at ALL while pregnant. It still spins, even in the Green Team side. It's STILL a centrifuge...it just spins slower than the Orange Team side.

It's actually MORE harmful to ride it earlier in your pregnancy than later...all those tiny blood vessels are forming for the baby and placenta...the spinning can cause them to rupture...just FYI.

According to the WDW Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities, only the Orange Team side spins. Here's what it actually says:
"Join the Orange Team to experience intense training on the original voyage (then it has the icon for warning). Or, join the Green Team for a milder journey with everything but the spinning. Minimum height 44"/112 cm. Expectant Mothers should not ride.

I have not been on the Orange Team (I get sick on the merry go round from spinning). I have been on the Green Team about 6 times. Even though it doesn't spin you, it does jostle you around forward and backward and side to side. I would rate it as fairly rough.

I rode it at 2mo pregnant and didn't have a problem. My doc was pretty permissive about what rides she cautioned me against, and since she's a doctor and a Disney nut herself, I trusted her opinion over the CYA warnings on the rides themselves. MS:Orange was one of those she said I should avoid, but she gave the green light on MS:Green. :)

IMO, it wasn't any more intense than Star Tours and much less bumpy. The main issue I could see at 5mo along is that the "capsule" is pretty tight quarters so it might be uncomfortable to say the least for a woman who is showing.

It it is a pretty tight fit..... Depending on how big you will be.... you might not fit... the console comes down almost ontop of you ... it is a VERY tight space..... no spining though on the green level... I thought it was pretty mild.... but I wasn't preggers at the time!:lmao:

personally i think its not really worth riding anything much when you are pregnant. I'm 5 months pregnant and wouldn't risk riding anthing accept the really kid friendly type slow rides. I don't think i would forgive myself if something went wrong. we went to a theme park this week only a little one and i only went on monorails it was fun watching my 2 year old and hubby going on them plus it gave me chance to rest a bit and you may need that

Hi! I am also going to Disney pregnant but not as pregnant as you. I will only be about 12 weeks along while we are there. Can't wait!! Anyway, here is a thread I started when I found out I was pregnant and had to change plans. SueinMn listed all the rides we should skip and the reasoning behind it. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2147509 Hope you have a great trip!
