Static!! Ugh

My life is being consumed by static electricity today! My hair is a staticky mess, my fleece throw blankets aren't helping. LOL I have a pot of water simmering on the stove right now, but any other suggestions to add some humidity to the air?? We have hot water base board heat and I can't really go out and buy a humidifier right now. HELP!!!

I carry a dryer sheet with me and rub stuff down it helps!

I have NEVER had a problem with dry air when we lived in S. Florida!!

We are having the same issue here ... DS's hair is sticking straight up and he is constantly rubbing his head on the couch because he "likes" it. I should bring the humidifier down from our bedroom that we aren't using. It's driving me nuts!!

My DD and I keep shocking each other by accident. She always yells at me like I'm doing it on purpose.

I like the idea of bringing down the humidifier from upstairs. I hadn't even thought of that (head slap).

Our house is so dry right now with the heater running full force. I just mad my DS, who is 2, cry by kissing him on the cheek. I shocked him, and I, when I kissed him, and he started crying. "No more kisses, mommy"...he said...

Hang some towels to dry around your home, run the dishwasher and open it up to dry.
Enjoy playing ET with your family.......DD and I do this hold our fingers up close our eyes and wham!!!

I feel your pain. I just got a big shock, by turning the ceiling fan off.( to clean it) When I pulled the chain....ouch! (OT I also busted my b*** while cleaning the shower. I need to quit cleaning today.
