Stateroom Question

When I made our reservation, I noted that there will be 2 adults and 2 children (total 4), and then it let me pick the stateroom, which I did. After further research, I see that the inside staterooms state that they will sleep 3, some will sleep 4. I emailed DCL directly and asked for confirmation that our specific stateroom will sleep 4 and I received a generic description of the inside staterooms, not a specific answer to my question. Is my assumption correct, that since the reservation is for 4 people, that it would not allow me to pick a stateroom that would only sleep 3?

It will not alłow you to book if they can't fit in.

So if you booked for four, you will get a room that sleeps four.

Correct. They won't let you select a stateroom that only sleeps 3 if there are 4 people on the reservation.

I played around with my reservation when I was booking for 4 people, I put 5 in just so I made sure I got a room that could sleep 5 (my dd is too young for the drop down bunk bed and my son is 6"2 so he wouldnt fit on the drop down bunk bed either as we wanted a murphy bed in our room
