Stateroom Gifts

QUESTION: I know you can order gift baskets and streamers, etc. But I also know they won't allow Shirley onboard to decorate the room. So does your room steward hang everything before you check in -- or do they just leave the streamers, etc. and you have to hang them up? Won't be much of a surprise to my DH and DD if the stuff is just laying on the bed unwrapped!

They do decorate the room when ordering one of those packages. Depending how early you go to your stateroom the decorations will be up. I think its one of the last things they do after claning up the rooms before and just after boarding.

I had ordered this for my mother-in-laws birthday last year. We got to the room very, very early and it wasn't up yet. But, when we returned to the room around 1:30p.m. they were putting it all up.

My wife had our room done for my 40th this past trip. The room was decorated when we went to it at about 1:30. (They even had a nice little birthday cake for me). A nice surprise!

If you order the decorations from DCL, they will be up in your stateroom when you arrive.

We ordered our hanging decorations directly from disney..they had it all hung when we arrived. Looked great.
Champagne was cold, treats were on the table..it was excellent.
