Stateroom Gift Processing Time

Hi

So I faxed Monday regarding ordering a stateroom gift and as of today its still not showing on my room account. Does anyone know how long it usually taxes them to process a faxed order? I'm concerned my fax may not have gone through as faxing from the UK.

It usually processes fairly quickly, within a few days. You may want to send a followup fax with a note saying you didn't see that the order had processed yet if it isn't showing up by tomorrow. I had faxed in an order for Rainforest Room day passes and I noticed when my next cc statement came that there was no charge yet. I called and they had no record of my order.
 
I phoned my order through - didn't feel confident that the fax would work. My order was processed there and then and showed up on our account the following day. The number I used from UK was 0800 028 3179.

Yea, I just called them. No big deal, easier than a fax would be. Who uses those?

I know a lot of guests from the UK try to avoid calling in order to avoid the cost of an international phone call. I really wish DCL would make it so you could complete the purchase online.
 
Thanks all. They did send me the phone number to call. I faxed as hate ringing because usually I end up with the wrong thing (think I must have a strange accent). I'll give it til Monday then ring but also a bit worried if I now ring in the order I will actually end up with two lol

I did also at the beginning of the week and when I didn't get any sort of email confirmation as requested, I called DCL and they told me that they had already processed all the requests so therefore they didn't have a record of receiving it. Will definitely call it in this week - don't trust the fax!

As far as I'm aware 0800 numbers are free in UK. I was able to call the number order my gift and received an email confirming order within 5/10 mins. Couldn't have been easier

It's won't show up on your room account. Check your credit card statement.

How do you mean it doesn't show? I've emailed DCL to ask them if the order has gone through. Are you saying they wouldn't be able to tell me?

My concern is that it hasn't shown on my credit card yet but might show in the future so don't know how long to leave it.

And yes 0800 numbers are free phone from the UK. My concern with ringing was that my accent seems to confuse people (in fact I had completely different surname last week when I booked a restaurant) so was trying to avoid having to phone someone. I may give it til Friday and then call as I'm off anyway just was hoping that the fax would have gone through although from the sounds of it other people have has similar issues.

Yeah, especially as it wouldn't be that difficult to toss it into the existing website. I honestly think they prefer not to deal with the Stateroom Gift stuff; you know that's a plan from marketing to make a few extra bucks on embarkation day--the busiest day of the cruise for the staff.
 
Where do you look to see that things you have ordered are attached to your cabin?

I was wondering this too? I phoned on Tuesday and by Thursday my Visa had the purchases on it. I just logged into my reservation on the disney site but where do I find out where is says what I ordered? It's not under "Reservation Summary".
 
It doesn't show online you have to email DCL to get them to check or at least this is what I've always done in the past
