Stateroom Credits?

If you send in money ahead of your cruise to be put against your stateroom credit, do you still leave a credit card on board?

Do you receive a confrmation from Disney that you purchased the credit? We are trying to put down as much as possible before we leave so it is one less thing to pay for there and afterwards.

Has anybody done this??

You can call the cruise line and ask them to put a credit on your room. THey will charge it to any credit card.

I think you still have to give them a credit card number as well.

Fromt he way I understand it...You can give yourself "stateroom creidts" and then when you get on board you have $$ waiting for you. Instead of charging everything to your credit card at once.

It makes it seem (at least in my DH's logic) that you are spending less money. When in fact you are just spending over a longer period of time.

Actually, anybody can give you a stateroom credit, you order it just like the DCL gifts. SO if anybody is interested, Cabin 2128 on the 8/21/04 Magic......

I agree with denise5374 although the wrong room number and date was given. It should be room 6556 on May the 8th. If anyone does this I would be happy to post the results later. LOL - Mike

Yes, that is true, my boss just gave me $100 so I can have internet access on the cruise, just called it in and used his credit card number. Now I just have to tell him.

Also, I put money from my paypal debit card on the cabin from ebay auctions too.

And, yes, please we would all love to have some credit, so if anyone has some to spare, cabin 5148, on the 4/10 sailing!

He does, can't complain. I just need to check in via email once a day to se if there are any problems. THe wonderful world of IT.

It used to be that you could "get away from it all" now with cell phones and the internet it just doesn't happen.

I am giving myself and our children's cabin $50 per month credit between now and our July cruise, so we can charge to the room and not have a big HIT on the credit card when we get back. Actually, I used my debit card for the credit, and it posted to our checking account within 2 days. Very easy to fax your Reservation numbe & credit card info to Disney Cruise Line Gift Purchase, fax # 407-566-7739. Tell them how much to charge to your card, and your cabin #. (I also check in once each day via email to my office, so I don't come back to a mess...worth it for peace of mind, no emails from the office, no problems).

Denise has the correct date, but the cabin number is actually 2118, she made a typo, LOL!!!

I didn't get any confirmation from Disney, just saw the debit to my checking account. I even saved the fax, and will just change the date each month and re-fax to them until our cruise. We should be in good shape for shipboard spending $$.
