How cold are the stateroom coolers. My son my be on an experimental medication at the time of our cruise and it must be kept cold. I they are just cool, can DCL offer a place or a small fridge to keep the meds. Thanks for any information
They have only been slightly 'cool' for us. DCL does offer small fridges in your cabin for medical needs. You need to contact them and/or fill out the request form for this.
To have a refrigerator put in your room for medication, you need to fill out the medical form and have it signed by your doctor. Then mail or fax it to DCL (keep a copy for yourself).
The medical form is basically an official request for any special equipment or services needed. There is no charge for the refrigerator. It should be in your room when you check in--if not, contact Guest Services (and have your copy of the medical form ready including the date it was faxed), and one will be delivered immediately. You also might want to call DCL a few weeks before sailing to be sure that they received the form. (can you tell that I'm compulsive?)
Thank you mommasita and kcashner for your helpful information. I have already faxed my son's medical form to DCL but I will revise it once we find out how long he will be on the new medications. Thanks again
We had a little fridge in our room. It kept things very cold. I may have mentioned that my son was on medication, so they sent it to us even though we didn't need it.
Thanks swilphil, I have been having a hard time deciding if we should go on the cruise due to this experimental medication but it is nice to know that we will be well taken care of. What else should I expect, it is Disney!!!
