Stateroom across from laundry room

I just got our docs (yay!) and discovered that our stateroom is located directly across from a laundry room. The Passporter specifically suggests avoiding this room! I guess I should have read before booking, but I just received the new edition yesterday! Has anyone stayed in such a room? How noisy will it be?

Nala.....we were directly across from the laundry room on deck 7 on our first cruise July 2002. Noise was not a factor it was the extra heat that I was concerned about. It turned out to be VERY hot in general, so I don't know if the laundry room added any additional discomfort or not. I can tell you that everytime we came out of our room the hallway was a good 10 - 15 degrees hotter than anywhere else It was also very busy with people coming and going but I never noticed it when we were inside the room. We stayed across from the laundry room on Deck 2 (sorry, I can't remember the actual room number) the end of March for 4-day. We didn't have any problems as far as being noisy at all. I didn't notice many people using the laundry, maybe because it was only 4 days. I wouldn't let it bother you.

Lotsofboys (love that name, should be mine, we have 3 of them!)...we'll be booking our first cruise soon (4 day). I was going to request deck 7. Can you remember your room #, I'd like to avoid being across from the laundry. Thanks.

How do you go about finding out where the laundry location is and the rms across from it?

On our last cruise we were across the hall and 2 or 3 doors down from the laundry room. I loved the convenience of just being able to pop out and get some ironing done if we had an extra few minutes. I didn't notice any additional heat or much noise right in the laundry room with most of the machines going, but it was April and the weather was great.

I think the laundry rooms are starboard so anything port would be good. Laundry was across from 6588 on Magic. We were 6088 exact opposite, that's why I remember.
