Has anyone had any experience with this stateroom? It is at the front end of the aft section, port side, on Deck 6. There is only a stateroom on one side. What I'm wondering is, what is on the other side? Is it a CM area, is it noisy, etc?

Thank you!!!!!!!! :bounce: :) :Pinkbounc

this, but it just may be, if I recall correctly, just the hallway of the public elevator shaft and or the freight elevator receiving hall. If it is the freight elevator, it may be a bit noisy, especially the last night when the luggage is loaded to be taken off the ship. I know we passed the freight elevator on our way to the aft elevator, but I'm not sure of the exact location. I was located in 6142 and honestly it was pretty quiet unless someone was loud in the hall.

My kids have this stateroom for our July5th cruise. I'd be surprised if the freight elevator is there, since the aft elevators are also there, but I'd be curious. I never thought about the dead space to the right of the room before this.

We were in 5622, which is obviously a deck below where you will be and on the other side. But if you look at the deck plans, you'll see that we were directly across from that gray area you mention. It was indeed the freight elevator area, and it was never bothersome. The first day and the last night, the door to the area opened and shut a lot, but the crew were very quiet and respectful. The great part about being there was that the first day when they were delivering luggage, I saw ours piled up right there, pointed it out to the CM, and got an immediate delivery! In addition, we never noticed any noise from the elevator lobby and other than a very few times, there was little to no hallway noise. I've had it much worse in many hotels.

We also had the benefit of having just one neighbor, but the irony is that there was a fire equipment closet with something loose in it on the other side that made an awful racket one night. It took several calls to Guest Services to get someone to come out, and not 5 seconds after we heard the door open and shut, the noise was gone. DH was sure that there was an unsecured piece of equipment in there that was immediately obvious once the door was opened.
