for the LAST TIME ! :woohoo:

it was 3 hours of agony :sad2:

thank goodness for grade 10 :thumbsup2

uck. spending lunch break writing this so OFF to annoying class ..

I took the reading portion today.

180 minutes of math tomorrow. :headache:
I'm so happy that next year it will just be science and the act/sat and I'm done. Finally.

Dude I just took the ACTs today.
4 1/2 hours of pure hell!
The math was pretty much all Pre-Calc, which I don't take till next year, so it was pretty hard for me.

We had 1 hour and 60 questions for math
45 minutes and 75 questions for English
35 minutes and 40 questions for Science
35 minutes and 40 questions for Reading
and 30 minutes to prepare and write out a 5 paragraph essay.

We took a 15 minute break to get a snack, and water in between testing. And then a 5 minute break to just get up, and talk to people.
Tomorrow we have Work Keys, and on Thursday we have MMEs. We have to go back to school after testing those days too. :/

i feel like i know you! haha i might be going crazyyy. whats ur school initials?

I'd rather not say them.
But I'm not near Atlantic Beach, I'm closer to Ft.Lauderdale.

I can't say I feel your pain. NY state Math 8th grade tests were so fudging easy, it was pathetic. We had 12 angle problems on both book 1 and book 2. Dx

Hate hate hate hate those.
I had one in grade 9 that you HAVE to pass. It's annoying. I know a lot of people who didn't.

I have one in May for French.

i had my new york state math test today.
i kinda like them.
you get to miss 2 class periods and they are EASY.

We're taking math something or another right now.
It's alright, it just determines wether I go to Pre-Cal and get my morning 30 minutes taken away. 0_o
But really, it's not THAT hard, there's a few that I don't get.

I have reading in a few weeks I think...
This and my senior year is the only time I have to take it...I think.

MCAS were the most ridiculous thing ever but the state requires it to graduate. How are they gonna know what each particular class at every school in the state is gonna cover? Teachers would scramble days before the MCAS to try and teach what was gonna be on it because it had nothing to do with the things we were learning. The year I had to take them to graduate they were "testing" the history part and it didn't count so for the history essay questions, I didn't read them and answered with a review of Spiderman 3 and quotes from Billy Madison.

Words cannot describe my sheer and utter HATE for standardized tests. I go to a poor/stupid school so we have the PSSAs each year and testing for PSSAs every 3 months.

I did the ACT's earlier this year.

I have TAKS, which is for Texas... its really stupid, because you have to pass them to graduate! Its really dumb, and its also the easiest test of the year. This year I have ot take every single subject though... I've oinly done the reading/writing part so far. Its stressful with all the teachers freaking out about it... but yeah, that's all I have.

MCAS is so stupid... but it was a nice break from classes and actually learning things, I suppose. Oh wait, we did get to read an article on how to make clam chowder...
