hey

What are the Undersized Verandah rooms like ?

Are they still good and worth getting And if I am getting deck 8 on the fantasy is aft or forward better ?

Just hope we don't get sea sick but not taking midship. But that is quite a steep price increase we can't really afford to take.

Or would u pick a ocean view midship deck 2 ?

I get motion sick but never have on a cruise. I like the aft cabins, less people walking past your cabin. Kids run down the halls and it sound like elephants running down the halls. Any veranda is good in by book:)

if you're worried about seasick bring sea bands and start wearing them before you board, bring bonine and start taking it a couple days before you board (every evening).
I'm very prone to motion sickness and i'm ok when I cruise if I do this.
Once I took of the sea bands just to shower and was sick before I got out of the shower, now I shower w/ them on ;)

On the Dream and Fantasy, if you have a 7A (decks 6-10, aft & forward sides), undersize or obstructed view veranda, then there is just a slight obstruction in the upper corners and the veranda is normal size. We have 8662 on the Dream and the obstruction is very minor. The only true undersize verandas are on Deck 5, aft, #5188 & 5688 on the Dream and Fantasy. They are angled and very small, I dont even think one chair fits on them.

5188 & 5688 are the smallest verandas aboard the Dream and Fantasy. Cat 7a.
They try to assign these two cabin to entertainers, hired personnel and such aboard.
Obviously that assignment doesn't always go through.

The undersized verandas are in the cat 7a category. There are two as mentioned, 5188 and 5688, on the Dream and Fantasy. They are on the stern, facing aft.

Theses balconies are the smallest aboard. They had to make a custom bench for the veranda, as a regular chair won't fit. :scared1:

These two cabins do have small balconies, I'll call them "french balconies" , they still do offer great views aft fwiw. Two people can stand simultaneously on the balcony.

Those that book 7a GTY should realize they may receive this cabin assignment.

Video of 5188 / 5688; skip to 2:15, to show balcony.
