Do they have Starwars Characters around MGM on any average day ?

My DS10 is a huge fan ... He actually wants a stormtrooper costume to wear around the house...

There is a thread posted today where a visitor and his wife saw Darth Vader outside of the StarTours store and had a picture made with him on a recent trip. That would be wonderful!!!! We go in September and my two DAUGHTERS (yes, daughters) are HUGE fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That would make their day!!!!!!!!! I know that the Star Wars characters are in the MGM daytime parade.........or they used to be. (We haven't been in almost 2 years so I am not sure if that has changed or not.)

We have been at different times of the year and the only time I have seen any star wars characters was on Star Wars Weekends.

Hey that was Me! We saw "Lord Vader" outside of Tatooine Traders underneath the Ewok Village on Sunday afternoon & we were very surprised! I'm a Huge Star Wars fan and was bummed b/c I knew we were going to miss SW Weekends by a couple weeks - but we were very pleasantly surprised! It was NOT listed on the guide map though, so I do not know if it is a common occurence or a one-time lucky visit or what!

ps - King Triton - I always wanted a Storm Trooper Outfit too!

Anyway I too have ran into Characters during the year and I have yet to go during Star Wars Weekend ( I have a seasonal summer job) It dosent happen all the time but when it does!!!!!! its great!

Honestly, it doesn't bother me at all. I have to admit that friends are a bit surprised though!!!!! My DDs go straight to the Star Wars figures and toys when they have any money to spend. We have so many SW figures and things!!!!!!! They have the SW Trivial Pursuit game and SW Monopoly game. They love playing them!!! They have the light sabers, Darth Vader costume and sound effect mask..................all things Star Wars.

BTW, IndyJammer, I showed them your picture and they got sooooooooo excited. They are now really hoping that they might get to see Vader on our upcoming trip.

I just got back Sunday, June 25, and had my pic taken with a Storm Trooper and Lord Vader himself. They come out about every half hour at the Star Tours ride. Very cool. I don't know how to put a pic on here but when I figure it out I'll do it.

Thank you so much for all of your replys..... I really hope he gets a chance to see a Storm Trooper... That would make his trip... We will definatley have to hang around startours to see what happens......

We've seen Star Wars characters a few times during our previous non-Star Wars weekend trips. It had been kind of hit or miss. On our last trip, on the Monday after a Star Wars weekend, my daughter and I were coming off of Star Tours and in the back hallway, 2 stormtroopers were patrolling the area. Then Vader walked out and stood with one of the stormtroopers for pictures. If you weren't coming off the ride, you'd never know they were back there (unless you looked up the ramp in the back of Tatooine Traders.)
