How addicting is this? LOL I bought my first Stamps today, an alphabet. I was looking at all the stamps in the store and was thinking how much I really liked them. I wanted to buy them all! LOL

Where is the best place to buy stamps for scrapbooking? Thanks!

I'm not sure where the best place is, but over the years I've gotten from the following places: (although they weren't all for scrapping)

Wal-Mart - theirs tend to be the cheapest I've seen

Michaels/ACMoore - They have 40% off all of them occasionally in addition to those coupons for one at a time. BTW - I've had floor clerks tell me that "sets" aren't included in the 40% off sales & then they'll ring up at the sale price...so check it pays to check (or at least go back)!

Plaid's site - I've gotten from them as well. They have a nice Disney selection (Pooh is in a separate category - both are under "License" on the list) & I've gotten some really good deals from the Closeout pages.

Sometimes our Big Lot type stores have some and keep your eye out at the dollar stores too. I've found the more "generic" sayings, and some other cute things very cheap at these type of places. They do work as well as the expensive ones.

I order most of mine from Stampin' Up. I also pick up individual stamps at Hobby Lobby or Michael's when they are on sale. They run 40% off quite often and 50% every now and again. Our JoAnn's does not have a good selection so I don't typically go in there.

It is very addicting! I didn't think I would like stamping, but I use it all the time in my scrapbooks and I even make cards as well!

Thank you! I can see I will be addicted fast! I went to my LSS today and they had a few stamps, but mostly for school ("Great Work", "Super", "A+", ect). They did have a few bigger stamps, but they were "Let It Snow" and "Merry Christmas" ones, which I don't need right now.

I am doing a layout now and I absolutely LOVE the way the stamped letters look inside a circle tag!! What a huge difference it makes on the page! I can't wait to finish it now! LOL
