Hi there!
It’s been 10 yrs since my last trip to Universal. This time I’ll be back with my 8 yr old and my mom. So much has changed since my last visit! I’m very excited to see DA in Potter land.
Tell me the pros and cons of visiting in late March or early June 2020. We will mostly be focused on Harry Potter world but will likely want to see other parts of the park too. We won’t be doing any of the big coasters and want to soak in the atmosphere.
How far in advance do I need to book a hotel? I’m looking at Cabana Bay & Sapphire Falls. I think kiddo would like CB pools the best. Any suggestions welcome!

Book your hotel as early as possible with a rate you're happy with. Then keep checking rates as time goes on and if it drops you can rebook at the lower rate.

You don't want to be stuck if rates happen to increase over time.

In terms of crowds, it depends on what you're going to be dealing with depending on when you go exactly in March, or June, you can either be dealing with spring break, or with summer break depending on what time the month you go in those months. The only difference I can think of with those months in terms of a "pro and con" would be in terms of weather. While it seems lately in FL it's hot no matter what, it'll definitely be cooler in March more than likely in comparison to June.

Also, as @TommyJK said, book as soon as you make your decision with whatever you're satisfied with and just keep checking in case there is ever a lower rate. I think CB would be good if you have kid. Not only you have more than one pool, but also the lazy river. Great for fun, or relaxation in between going to the parks.

I was think the week of June 7th or the week of March 23. I’m leaning toward June because I want it to be warm enough to use the pool! The last time I was there they had a cold snap and I froze my butt off. 😆
Thanks for the advice on booking. I looked today & early June is a better deal. So I can just call & rebook if there’s a lower rate later?! Sweet!
