I know it seems crazy but DGF and I are starting to anticipate and plan for our June 2011 trip to WDW. We made our first trip this past June with my 14yr old son & 12yr old dghtr and it changed us for the good (or maybe bad) forever. So now were ready for more bigger and better the 2nd time around. I'm excited to start planning again, the sweet taste of anticipating this new trip will brighten my everyday for many days to come. Actually most of the real planning will be done by my sweet DGF, I'll mostly be dreaming about that first run through Splash Mountain & Tower of Terror or the first taste of cheese soup at Le Cellier. Anyways does anybody Else out there plan their trip a year++ out?

We are going back to Disney in August 2011 and we started planning about 2 weeks ago. We go every 3 years and half the fun is planning. :goodvibes:yay:

Oh yes, I swore never to go to WDW. Hated the very idea, was persuaded by a competition win in 2003 and got hooked!!!

Been back to WDW four times now, booked April 2006 for October 2007, April 2009 for October 2010 and booked yesterday for October 2011.

My excuse is that I only have one school holiday date I can travel due to DH and I work commitments and the kid's school. It's rude not to grab the opportunity and book as soon as the holidays are released.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Have a wonderful trip next year.

I'm home from the world since 3 days and I'm already planning our new trip. It looks like we will go in august 2011 - 16month left :lmao:
We think about staying two weeks instead of one and trying the Coronado Springs Resort
My DBF thinks I'm crazy, but the planning is just so much fun!:)

We, too, our planning our trip for June 2011 and went June of 2009. It was my DD's and husband's first trip. Hubby said he wouldn't go back until the girls got a lot older but I started planning this trip on the way back home. A couple of months ago, after inviting my parents to come with me, he decided he wanted to go back, too. Can't wait:cool1: and I love the planning part so it is keeping me happy in the meantime.

At least a year. Usually I start thinking about it and laying the foundation 2 years in advance. Planning is half of the fun.

You are so not alone....we just got back from a trip in March 2 weeks ago, we have a trip planned for September (finished planning that), we are in the early stages of planning a trip for May 2011 which this one will be more time consuming because we are taking dear friends of ours (kids same age as ours) which will be their first and probably only time so DH and I want to make this the trip of their lifetime. Then about a week ago DH and I decided that we wanted to go and try something new so we are starting to plan a trip to DL for next September. That one is going to be hard because we no NOTHING about DL, so I have been reading, lurking, asking questions on the DL boards, plus I bought the Birmbaum's guide to DL....so much to learn in a year and half's time :sad2: But let me tell you, I am having the best time planning out all of these trips (even though it could be stressful at times), but I am such a planner that my DH often tells me that that is my reason to live :rotfl:

We went last April and are now planning our June '11 trip. I would like to go spring break but my oldest will be in college and that makes it harder.

2011 is planned, just waiting for the booking window to open, working on the 2012 plan. But I'm OCD when it comes to travel!

I have been working on our May/June 2011 trip for several months. My DH thinks I'm nuts. He told me just last night that I am worried about something that is almost 1-1/2 years away. I pointed out it was actually only 13 1/2 months off! :rotfl: For me, the planning is a huge part of the fun. I love being there, watching my family have a great time while silently patting myself on the back for a job well done. Our first 2 trips were done with little planning or research and we did not enjoy them nearly as much. I figure there are sooo many worse things I could be doing with my time. WDW is my hobby. :lovestruc

We are going in Oct and then again 12/11 and 10/12. I am already planning out where to stay and the costs! ;)

We booked our trip in January of 2010 for May of 2011. I have been four times before but husband has never been. We are going with his son, his wife and family (5 kids total). I love to plan and read all that I can get my hands on. I bought the unofficial guide and have read it cover to cover already. It has highlighted portions in it and have made reminders on my calendar for meal reservations and other things. I love to plan ahead - it gives me something to look forward to!

The World has changed so much since I was last there that I have to read everything so I know what things I must do! The kids will end up wanting to spend most of the time with us because I will know the secret to getting the most out of my time and mom and dad will just wander around aimlessly!!! You just watch - I know this is what will happen. Husband and I will take 2 of the kids with us and head over at rope drop. Then the next day everyone will want to go with us. :rotfl2:

Heck yeah! Planning is half the fun. Our upcoming trip in August is still 120 days away. I started the countdown this time last year with over 450 days left!!

I love the planning and the dreaming, and if I don't have an upcoming trip to plan, I'm depressed. I listen to a little theme park music every day at work at http://www.subsonicradio.com/

Glad that you got "hooked." Not everybody gets it, but once you truly feel the magic, you're hooked for life. Enjoy!

Planning July 22 - July 31, 2011. We are a large group of 15 and so planning has to start early so everyone can start saving and plannng. We will not actually book it until they announce the 2011 prices.:grouphug:

It's great to hear about all the advanced planning you are all doing! WDW planning really gives me something to look forward to over the next 13/14 months, I think I could become like WVparkfan and become depressed if I don't have a trip plan to WDW going, I guess thats what my flyfishing and cool photographers job are for (to keep me happy). We would like to spend at least two of the days maybe three at the end of our trip at Universal after 5 or 6 days at WDW. Any opinions on that? DGF isn't too keen on thrill rides but she did love Rockn Rllr Cstr at DHS but about had a heart attck on twr of trror.

We went to WDW for Thanksgiving this past year. Now, I'm beginning to plan our trip for 2011. We haven't nailed down the time frame, but I want to go in summer 2011. This time, we want to focus on warm weather activities like the water parks.
