starting to panic

We leave monday morning at 6. I have planned and planned, and am now starting to panic. Thinking about stuff that i thought i already had figured out. My main worry is with the strollers. I bought 2 slightly bigger than umbrella strollers, they fold up super easy into a standing postition, it is like they have legs that pop out to keep them standing. Now, they are super light and easy to carry, but they are still kind of big. I am worried about getting them on a bus or monorail. Is this something to worry about, or will there be enough time to get it folded, get on, and have room to put it, or are people gonna be glaring at us as we take up room? I have seen some pretty big strollers in pictures, so i know people take bigger strollers, but maybe they drive?

Another worry i am having is with the town car pickup. We have a ressie with Prestige. We will have a large suitcase, 2 small ones, and 3 carry-ons, not to mention the above strollers. I am afraid they will take one look at us and all of our belongings, and refuse to take us. Will there be enough room in the car for all that stuff?

Can you tell my mind will not shut down? I just think about the trip all the time, and of course, i worry, so i seem to look for things to worry about. I hope once we get there, i can turn it off and have some fun!

let me just say...take a DEEP breath.
I am not going to give you advice, b cuz I am a first timer. But think about this, you are getting ready for WDW, there will always be things to worry about, you don't need to make more! Just relax...

As long as you take your kids out of the stroller before the bus arrives and have the strollers folder when it pulls up, you will have no problems. People may even help you out. Many times you can wheel them onto the monorail - depends on crowds.

That is nothing! You'll have plenty of room.

Relax!

I agree with the previous poster: we always fold up the stroller and get things out of the bottom and one person is in charge of stuff and the other in charge of the kid. I don't know how old your kids are - if you have an infant all that juggling will be a bit more interesting but you'll figure out how to do it after a practice time or two ;) I've taken a stroller every time and had no major problems. There are a lot of folks doing the same thing. Just try to be prepared as the bus pulls in and if it takes you an extra 15 seconds to get on the bus don't panic! :flower:

I know nothing about towncars - why not just call them and tell them what you have and then take the person's name who says "that will be fine" and write it down and you'll be set ;)

Hey I leave tomorrow! My best tip is be sure and be packed 2 days before your trip except for those things that have to go in last minute. My bags are ready and I plan on having a relaxing day - all I need to do is pick up a few things at the grocery ( we're driving).

Have fun!!! :goodvibes

I don't know about the towncars, but I agree with others about the strollers. Lots and lots of people have strollers that they need to get on the buses or other transportation. It's not a big deal, so long as you are ready to go when the bus or monorail arrives (e.g., as someone else suggested, have the kids out of them and the strollers folded up before the bus arrives).

I'd like to know what kind of stroller you purchased, we are looking for the same type!

Thanks!!! :sunny: :flower: :sunny: :flower:

two things:

fold up the strollers while you wait on the bus...no problems at all

and

the towncar trunks are large...Im sure they will figure it out

Okay take a deep breath and relax. I am a mommy that doesn't go anywhere w/out my DD SUV of a stroller. I know it is oversized and a little more difficult to get on the bus w/ but I love it and it holds all I need to bring into the parks and if my DD gets sleepy I don't have to go back to the room we take that time for my DH to ride the rides he wants and I don't like! Anyway I say do a little practicing on folding up the strollers before hand so you know how and can doit quickly there will be times that you arrive to the bus as it gets there and need to board fast. My DH and I had a system he held our DD while I folded up the stroller(men w/ strollers sometimes not good) then he would take the bag and the stroller on the bus and I would take our DD. It's really not that big of a deal most everyone on the bus will understand and probably has gone through it before. As for the town car we usually take a town car service and I over pack which means 3 very large suitcases, the SUV stroller, and 4 carry ons so I don't think you'll have and problems. I hope this helps. Remember Practice!!!!!

We have that exact same stroller and we had no problems with it at WDW. We just made sure everything was out of the stroller and it was folded up before we got on the monorail or buses. Good luck and have fun!

I agree with Stiff and several of the other posters: fold the strollers up as the buses approach and don't worry about the towncar folks - they've seen it all. Now relax and start dreaming of all the fun you will have!!!
