Starting South Beach tomorrow night

DH's dr told him to try atkins. I decided to try South beach so we could at least eat similar foods (thus lessening the grocery bill).

I'm a little nervous about it but I'm thinking positively.
I'll be living off ground beef, chicken, eggs, low fat cheeses, and zucchini for at least the next 2 weeks

I've been doing SB for about 5 weeks. DH is doing Atkins, I was doing another plan. It wasn't working out. Since switching to SB, I've lost 12 lbs. I feel great and find it very easy to follow.

The first two weeks were a little hard. I'm not an eggs for breakfast person. Once I could add oatmeal and some fruit dieting became much easier.:D

I am on day 12 of SBD, I have not weighed in yet, but will on the 14th day. I have not cheated at all so far, which is unusal for me, so I have to think that it is true that if you clean your body of carbs that you won't crave them.

I noticed the first two days it was a struggle, but day three I started to see that my cravings were gone and that I wasn't hungry. Normally, when I am at the computer especially, I am snacking all night long, a cookie here, some candy there etc...now I do have a snack, but it has been sugar free jello or a sugar free popsicle. I am not having any trouble staying on this diet whatsoever.

I can start adding good carbs back on Monday, but I don't feel the need to do so. I may continue the 2 week thing a bit longer.
