Hi everyone

My trip is creeping up on me I'm going 1st-6th December, so I'm starting my plan of attack, I've never been for Christmas Season before, but I heard its amazing after reading loadsa tripies. We're staying at the Cheyenne.

Is there anything I should take into account whilst doing my planning. I'm prepared for cold weather but how cold?
Should I plan down to the smallest detail like I had to do last October or will it be quiet enough to wing it a bit?

Any help is better than no help my DF is leaving it all up to me he's not fussed and will go with what I want... typical fella.

There will be myself (25, 26 when we go :sad1: ) and DF (28) no kids yay!!! I was going to take my Nephew (2) but we decided against it... thought it may be a little to cold for him, plus we wouldn't get any peace.

During the week it should be fairly quiet but Saturday will probably be mobbed. I would think for the most part you could go with the flow but have a plan for the Saturday.

It is likely to be really really cold. Think of buying thermal vests and tights, however unglamourous they may look! If not those, then long t-shirts tucked right in, under your normal clothes. Furlined boots are great - Ugg imitations are the cheapest way to go.

Please don't mention Ugg immitations lol I bought some last week, stepped on a wet surface and met the pavement, my ankles now black and blue!!!
Thermals will be a good idea bought a load of Roll Neck jumpers from Marks & Sparks, will need something to go underneath them.

Another question thought, I don't arrive at CDG till 7.50pm... there's only 2 of us so a taxi shuttle may be a waste of money I was thinking about the TGV, how reliable are they at getting luggage out quickly at CDG? There's 2 trains 20.34 and 20.48 then the next ones 21.55, I don't want to hang around till 21.55.
