Starting a podcast

I am thinking about starting a podcast, but have no idea where or how to start. Can anyone tell me a cheap (preferably free) and easy way to get started.

Recently, someone pointed me in the direction of a podcast about podcasting that might interest you. It's called The Audacity to Podcast.

Some of the early episodes talk about the basics (episode 3: The Bare Minimums, for example).

It's very dry, but might be helpful.
