Stars & Motorcars Parade

How long is this parade? If it starts at 5:00 and we want to eat at Mama Melrose as soon as possible after it, what would be a good time to make PS, and where should we stand to watch it to get to MM quickly?

The parade lasted about 20-30 minutes once it began. We prefer to sit right in front of the photo store near the gates.

I just watched the parade last week at 5:30, and had a PS at H&V for 6pm. We sat on the low wall in front of the small garden where they have busts of famous performers/writers, don't know what it's called, next to Sounds Dangerous. It is at the beginning of the parade route. Had a fabulous view - no one is allowed to stand in front of you there. Got to H&V at 5:50pm with no trouble at all. From that spot you should be able to get to MM's quickly as well. Hope this helps.

That's the same place WE sat! Great view - no room for last minute *pushers*......

SuzEM-how early did you have to get there to get that good viewing spot?

I think we got there about a half-hour before, maybe a little more - we were ready for a sit-down anyway. Got some popcorn and drinks and just relaxed. It wasn't that crowded when we were there, so during a busier time I'd get there earlier. You should see the pictures I got of the parade! Because of the way the wall curves out and the parade route curves, the pictures look like I'm directly in front of the parade floats and not to the side.

We had a really good spot right by the beginning of the parade by Star Tours. Plus, you are right by Mama Melrose's so it would be a short walk. That would prevent you from having to fight the traffic by going upstream. We got there about a half hour before the parade and still had a spot in the shade
