Stars and Cars at MGM....

I was watching a little video of it and noticed that Lightening McQueen and Mater are in it. Is there any way that you can get a picture with those cars??? My son is a die-hard Cars fan. We will be celebrating his birthday in Disney at the end of September and he would just about DIE if he could get his pic taken with Lightening. Any chance of that?

When not in the parade, Lightening McQueen and Mater can be found for a photo-op (at various times of the day) at the entrance to LMA Stunt show or, at other times, in front of the gigantic Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat along with many other non-Cars characters.

Just a word of caution - if it's raining Lightning and Mater will not come out for their photo ops. We waited last week to see them at 1:45, but being FL in the summer, it began raining at 1:30 and their performance was cancelled. Luckily by their 2:45 show the rain had stopped and they came out - but the 2:45 show was the last one of the day and if that had been rained out too we would have missed seeing them for pictures. You do not get the chance for pictures when they are in the parade. I would just not wait until the last show to see them in case of rain (this happened with Kim Possible too!).

We got to see them earlier this month and it was so cool! The kids absolutely loved it - we got lots of good pictures. When we went back a couple days later with my nephew (HUGE Cars fan), only Lightning McQueen was out - no Mater. We asked one of the handlers where Mater was and he told us that Mater had been out late the night before tractor tipping and got in trouble and was in time out. He said he tipped 18 tractors!
My nephew got the biggest kick out of that!

My girls went crazy when we got to "meet" Lightning McQueen and Mater at DCA earlier this month. My 3 year old was hugging Lightning and telling him she loved him LOL

We were able to see them as well when we were there during the summer. It was fun wathcing them "speed" down the streets and see people jump out of the way when they reved their engines.

WOW!! We can't wait...we saw Cars 3 times (yes...THREE times) over the summer! My kids are going to die!!
