Thought I would share some information about our past few trip before posting up about our upcoming trip.
Our previous trips to the World included :
2012: We headed over to Orlando for 3 weeks for a combined Disney and general sightseeing including trips to Sea World, Universal and Nasa. This trip was my first time overseas and Amandas second trip to America. We both fell in love so much with Disney World!

2013 : We stayed in Orlando for just under 6 weeks and also sailed away on the Disney Dream for the first time ever! During this trip we attended - Food and Wine, Halloween Parties, Christmas Parties and Festival of the Masters. As well as visiting Sea World for a few days.
Some statistics -
Halloween Parties attended - 3 Christmas Parties attended - 4 [ended up buying another lot of tickets for 1 more party during the stay] Food and Wine days - 3 days of mainly eating around World showcase and pin trading. Sea World Days - 2 Character Meet and greets - to many to count, but in one day we did meet 50 characters !
Just a quick update in regards to our trip, we have finally hit 58 days today!
Which means in Australian time it was finally time for us to book our first few days of Fastpass+.
Since we are staying onsite for the fist part of our trip, we made sure to grab those hard to get FP times but have decided to skip Anna and Elsa for this part of the trip, hoping to see them during EMH one night during the trip after the cruise.
Our first 5 days of the trip are pretty much planned out, just deciding on whether or not to take away a morning one day to hang around our resort, swim if its warm enough or just explore the resort.
Monday 19th Epcot - Soarin, Spaceship Earth and Character spot, with our ADR booked for Garden Grill :good vibes
Tuesday 20th Animal Kingdom/Hollywood Studios- - Kilimanjaro safari, Dinosaur and Festival of the Lion King. ADR booked for 'brunch' at Tusker House, and thin in the evening hopping over to HS for Fantasmic.
Wednesday 21st Magic Kingdom Under the Sea, Big Thunder Moutnain and the MINE TRAIN!!! ADR is booked for Be Our Guest.
Thursday 22nd Downtown Disney/Magic Kingdom- Under the Sea, Mine Train again and Wishes! ADR booked for dinner at Chef Mickey.
Thanks so much for reading along so far everyone!!
Joining in!! The Pin Trading got me clicking because I just started to think about getting a starter set of pins for my sons to trade during our trip in April. I think they will love it but I know nothing about it.
It looks like you really lucked out with ADRs and FPs. We really want to try Garden Grill and I'm considering adding it to our itinerary. Your trip sounds amazing, can't wait to read more.
It's the first of December, which means its 24 days till Christmas!!!! even though at this time of year Im feeling a bit stressed out with work and Christmas shopping and planning. Im just so excited!
Thought I would share some quick photos from last year when we celebrate Christmas in Disney World. We ended up going to 4 Christmas parties .
It was such a fun environment and I loved every second of the parties. Plus all the decorations were amazing, and the characters were so cute in their holiday costumes!
Yeah it was pretty crazy and wasn't even really our plan to meet that many. We started off with breakfast at 1900 Park faire, then went to the Halloween Party and met all the characters there pretty much. This didn't even include the 7 Dwarves
How is everyone going? Just thought I'd give a little update. So we far we have payed off our back to back cruise, how hotel stay completely paid off pre cruise, our flights and how hotel deposit for after the cruise.
Also I don't think I told anyone where we are staying before our cruise .Well ...Drum roll ...
KIDANI!!!!
We have decided to rent DVC points for this trip, it was a last minute decision for us, we had been planning to stay at a DTD hotel pre cruise, but found out through research we could save some $$ whilst staying at a deluxe Disney resort .Plus it has always been my dream to stay at Animal Kingdom lodge:good vibes.
Can't wait to finally stay here, we visited AKL in 2012 on our first trip just for Boma, I think I had a food coma all the way back to Australia after that ADR
We will be staying in a deluxe studio for the 5 nights overlooking one of the savannahs, I wonder what animals we might be able to see? We are planning on participating in a few of the resort activities if possibly during our stay too. Has anyone else stayed at this resort?
I'll hopefully post another update tomorrow night after work. I've ben doing about 6 days straight every week, and Thursday is finally my day off
So sorry I haven't posted at the few weeks have been pretty crazy, since Christmas I have pretty much been working 6-7 days a week and so any time off was used for planning the rest of the trip, sleeping or getting things ready
But hoping this week to start sharing some more photos and some information for the trip.
