Starbucks open yet?

This news makes me SOOOOOOOOO happy. We'll be there in December...and it would be nice to pick up my favorite Frap every day. :P

This is so exciting. I have no doubt that Starbucks will go over just fine. Too many people enjoy the coffee, fraps, teas etc. It will be amazing to grab a Frap and cool off a bit with my favorite drink.

We were able to go there during the AP preview yesterday. I didn't think to ask about the Gold Card, sorry. :headache:

BUT, they do have super cute Starbucks/Disney themed cups! Also, the bakery portion was full of Starbucks pastries (cake pops, coffee cakes, tarts) and Disney staples (cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissants, sandwiches, etc)

Can you use the regular Starbucks gift cards/gold card there? Anyone know yet?

keeping my eye on this thread for this^

my wife has accumulated several gift cards as presents from her students and it would be nice to get something for free in the parks

I doubt it but would love to earn stars for my Frappacinos.

I believe it is run by Starbucks, but the CMs are trained by Disney, so it may be possible to use Starbucks cards there. The questions is can you use Disney gift cards there or at a Giradelli (sp)? I didn't even think to ask when we were at Giradelli.

My understanding is just the opposite. That they are Disney CM trained by Starbucks, just like those in Target or Safeway/Vons & Albertsons/Lucky. I know these locations you can use Starbucks cards, but I just don't see Disney do this. Only time will tell. I am looking forward to hearing the first hand accounts in the coming weeks.

Yep! You're right - they are Starbucks trained Disney CM's! :)

Oooh...looks like I can get my caramel macchiato! Yum!!

I didn't know there was coffee in the lobby of the hotels (we stayed concierge at PPH both times, 2nd time we were Big Kahuna family, so it was a free upgrade!). The rooms in PPH have individual coffee things that we, as big coffee drinkers, find useless; we drink WAY too much coffee for that to work for us :drinking1 When we go to DL, we bring our coffee pot and travel mugs. The coffee in the parks (Nescafe) isn't great, but our family prefers it to Starbucks (burnt, strong and overpriced are not my coffee requirements, lol) to be honest, but we prefer almost anything but instant to Starbucks.

Previous threads have mentioned it (not sure if it was a superthread or not), but I don't know if that is the case now or not (post-remodel completion). AFAIK, this was only @ DLH since we looked @ both PPH and DLH, originally booked PPH and then switched to DLH. I suppose I'll find out Sun AM. I am packing a food suitcase for our trip, and if we had access to a microwave, I'd bring our french press and burr grinder, but packing the coffee maker might be a stretch considering we're coming from oHIo and I'll be herding two DDs, DW and the max luggage on SWA as it is. I am however packing the DW's box o'wine. :confused3

Awesome! Yay rumor mill :)

I am sure they will end up in all Disney parks and I think you are right that the rumor mill has stated Carnation Cafe, which I assume will have a walk up window if this is true (since up to know was a sit-down/table service). But I also remember reading that it was all contingent on everything going smoothly with the Pig Cafe. And it is only my gut/opinion that there will be one in DTD too.

We mailed our coffee pot to PPH.

I can't imagine paying those prices for coffee! And those shakes they make have more calories, and less nutritional value, than actual milk shakes. Whatever happened to just plain, good ol' coffee? lol (I'm half kidding by the way, but only half...)

Will my Starbucks cards be able to be used at the Starbucks there? If not I guess I have all kinds of cards to use at home I suppose:lmao:

Thee prices seem to be the same as other Starbucks around Disneyland and at least Those of us with APs can get our discount there.
