Does anybody know when to expect Disney to anounce which celebs will be present at which Star Wars Weekends? I have been waiting patiently for a few months and I am trying to finalize our plans.

They have been posting some REALLY big information about the celebrities for Celebration (George Lucas is coming). They posted them last year on April 2nd, so I am expecting any day now for an announcement. Just check out starwars.com and the community page for the info.

We're going the weekend after the release of the movie so it should be exciting - celebs or not! But it would be nice to know who will be there!!!!

Oh - they just showed the ad for the movie and it comes out the day we arrive. How exciting for my boys!! We were there when Pirates came out and they were handing out really nice posters free! I guess we won't be that lucky this time. But it would be nice!!

Where did you hear George Lucas was coming?

I think they were talking about George Lucas being somewhere else.Maybe Celebration 3?

I hope they announce who will be there soon. I'm tired of waiting.

I don't know about this year, but when Episode II came out they didn't have any celebrities at Star Wars weekends. They were all at another event for the movie premiere. Don't know about this year though. I hope they get somebody.

something connected Celebration II, I think, with the lack of events for a WDW Star Wars Weekends last time. But, this year, I believe they're going all-out for both Celebration III (Yeah! Just 2 weeks away!) and Star Wars Weekends. From what I've heard, many of the "big name" stars have actual jobs and schedules need to be worked out, etc. before announcements are made. I know most attendees are shocked that George Lucas is going to be at Celebration III...you never know what surprises are going to pop up at either event.

kjkelly - check out star wars community page This is the George Lucas Article. If you check the archives (link at bottom of page) and look at April or March, you will see all the great events at Celebration III. They are detailing alot of the merchandise and events in these almost daily updates.

It has already been released throught his own website thst Daniel Logan (young Boba Fett) will be one of the first attendees at the first SWW. We, too, will be there on the first SWW and have been checking daily for updates. George Lucas will, indeed, be at Celebration. He was at WDW a few weeks ago and posed for a picture with Jedi Mickey. I am more interested in the exact schedule than the celebrities. We are in the PS planning process. Two other good sources of info are www.theforce.net and www.mgmstudios.org Hope to see you there. We will be wearing lime green ribbons. Less than six weeks to go.

According to Mouseplanet.com:

We hear that the following are appearing at Star Wars Weekends, though the only dates confirmed are Daniel Logan for the first weekend: Jerome Blake (Rune Haako, Mas Amedda and others), Warwick Davis (Wicket the Ewok, Wald), Daniel Logan (Young Boba Fett), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Don Bies (Master Puppeter and Creative Maker) and Rob Coleman (Master Digital Creature Crafter, Leader of ILM animation for Episode III).

I checked all their personal websites and Peter Mayhew is saying he will be there on May 27 - 29. Noone else has any dates actually posted yet.

I'm thinking next Monday for an actual list, after Celebration III is over?
