It is a lot of fun, and we are not even huge Star Wars fans. Well, my 9 year old is now, but he wasn't the first time we went. We didn't go last year, but there was a trivia contest for kids. You need to sign up early because it fills up quickly. I think the sign-ups were a little before you get to Star Tours.
Most of the action takes place in the Star Tours area. It is fun to see the characters. Darth Vader's line will get long so I would see him early.
There will probably be a big thread on the Theme Park and Attractions board from people who are die-hard Star Wars fans. They will give you lots of tips.
One more thing I thought of - The Star Wars weekend merchandise is only at the Studios on those weekends. If you want to buy something, buy it. We had to run back and get a t-shirt my DS wanted the next Saturday morning before we left for home.
